Making characters class based so there are meaningful choices and adding turbo buttons alone makes the gameplay much more interesting by itself and there are loads more changes on top of those. XII Zodiac Age is actually one of the best gameplay FFs in the series. The story still kinda sucks for the most part though, they didn't change that. I probably wouldn't put it second but in the upper third is definitely acceptable. Otherwise its a pretty good list. XV down where it should be. I'd have a few changes here and there (V and IX would be higher and VIII a bit lower) but its fine.
