• Stories about nature coming back, such as dolphins appearing in certain waters
• The vtuber boom (there were quite a few good talents born of this era)
• The extra pay on my paycheck, which allowed me to pay off a debt before mid 2021 and still have spending money

I didn't mind throwing the occasional joke at Sailor Bacon's expense, but I never once disliked the guy. A few of his ideas I don't recall? Maybe. But never the guy.

I mean let's be real, this website has been effectively dead for a while. It's unfortunate that they won't let it die naturally. This is so heavy handed.

Thankfully, some of the peeps around here know how to find me. I will say if they're so keen on killing the forums, I'll be sure to take my guides down, too. Most of them are not for big games, but the notion should not be lost.

I like Daisy more for being more outgoing and having a more... flowery personality.I bstill like Peach, though, for her compassionate side, like my headcanon is she's helped Bowser through his issues over the years, hence the frequent kidnappings and rescues.

Meanwhile Rosalina sits there looking pretty when she isn't providing shelter for star bits.

These days I only use the free months that I'm offered like once a year, and even then only in the end of November to do all my holiday shopping. I have not paid for Prime since they added a ton of bells and whistles I don't care about and raised the price far beyond what I'd conceivably pay on shipping through the year (assuming I did even that).

I'm feeling like the admin and mods are trying to kill what's left of the site.

I imagine giving one of the biggest social boards the LUE treatment in an age where this site's traffic is dying by the day (especially the forums), electing to post here is as novel and welcome as Picard joining the poker game at the end of TNG. @ParanoidObsessive is the Borg in this scenario, obv. (I kid)

It's funny how my bodily health saw no negative impact after I got away from the heavy milk consumption. Heck, even my breath improved. Ah well.

These days, I only use dairy milk for specific baking needs, since almond milk doesn't cut it for chemistry reasons on a lot of baked goods. Like I'll be making some blueberry buckle soon, and I need either 2% or whole for it to turn out right. Pancakes only barely do OK with almond milk, but that's because some mixes do fine with water. Point is, I don't really drink dairy milk any longer, but the stuff has its culinary uses.

Ehh... I used to like the occasional stack of pancakes with strawberries at IHOP back when it was barely reasonably priced. Now I just save the money and grief, and make my own pancakes and strawberry compote.

The last time I went to Denny's was because a friend of mine, that I hadn't seen in a few years, and I decided we wanted to go somewhere still open at 11 at night and troll the staff with the stupidest order we could feasibly make. We decided on hashbrowns with chocolate fudge; the food wasn't great, but the reaction from the waitress was beautiful. Then three months later I moved in with her (my friend).

Of the fried chicken places I've tried, Popeye's doesn't agree with my stomach. Like my body still digests it, but I feel nauseous for about a day and a half after, and that's after one piece. Most places take about 6-12 pieces before I feel anything close to that. o_O

And yeah I had to work during covid. I didn't mind. It was actually kinda awesome because there was no traffic on the roads and my commute ruled lol

The 20 minute walks to and from work were pleasant, for sure.

It's funny, because so many stores were forced to stay open during the shutdown, just to keep the economy running. I was one of the unfortunate workers during that era. Meanwhile, didn't the corporate overlords make obscene profits despite all this? That, I forget the fine details.

He didn't start the "inflation." Rich people started buying out Congress in the 60s, and it became noticeable in the 70s. You're expecting any one President alone to fight the momentum that's been picking up since before anyone in this board was born (even PO), unless said President were to pull an Andrew Jackson and shut down the very institutions behind this financial strife, redirecting those obscene funds into the debt. Yeah, he blocked me during the topic about comics vs manga about a week or two ago, iirc. A few of us basically took apart everything he was saying, not out of any malice, but because he kept repeating nonsense that could be explained away or easily contradicted with minimal evidence (let alone a ton of it). I think NMB got fed up with me, and maybe one or two other people then.

I don't do beef or pork for flavor (and sometimes texture) reasons. I can do seafood, but it's unnecessarily pricey for anything good around here. Turkey or duck can be fine if done right. Chicken is affordable and easy to work with; so it's only my "favorite" for economic reasons.

In my case, it's less about the actual distinguishing the two terms, and more about how I feel that calling it a "sequel" is an excuse for the remake trilogy's infidelity toward the source material. There are good changes, ones that make sense or add something, but from the point with Dyne and onward, the changes shift into unnecessary or bad. Like you, and some others I've talked to, said about Dyne, it's like the developers actually missed the point from the original game; no amount of being a "sequel" really validates the change.

Also, you brought up the Gi. I thought the concept of fleshing them out was sort of neat, but by the time you're halfway through their sequence, they're beating you over the head with what's to come, and I'm left feeling sour over this filler. Like that time and resource could have been put towards something else. Then again, the time and resource spent on Not-Charlie-Sheen-from-Platoon and Zach, the underground facility in Nibelheim, the Whispers and Sephiroth doing their crap at the Gongaga reactor, and half of the Ancient Temple could have gone towards Cid's hometown and his plane being shot down, ALONG WITH HIS DREAMS AS IS HIS THEME IN THE OG AS A CHARACTER, rather than the engines going out because lol Vincent is too much weight. Instead we got the sanitized Cid rather than the salty, vulgar man with a broken dream. It's like the developers didn't know when to stop adding things until they got to Cid, and realized they needed to streamline the rest of the OG's first disc, by which I mean cut corners as all companies do when they use the word "streamline."

Yeah, the handling of Dyne was where Rebirth went downhill for me. The ending of Rebirth made me stop caring about the next installment, no matter how fun part of it may be. And seeing someone be like "lol it's a sequel, not a remake," just rubs me wrong.

Like I said. I like the vast majority of the first two thirds of the game, even accounting for the minor changes I disagree with (as opposed to minor ones I do). But yeah, Rebirth's Gold Saucer is an expansive delight.
