In Tokyo you'll be able to largely get about with English, things get a lot trickier once you get out of Tokyo even in touristy areas.

If you want to go somewhere like Hokkaido? Learn Japanese or bring somebody who knows it with you.

Oh and the younger somebody is the more likely they are to speak English.

Eh, I'll never hold it against somebody for sticking up for a friend as a reflex, I'd have more of a problem if he kept the tweet up after watching the video which he seems to have instead deleted.

We only ever see them interact with planets that people are living on. It's not like Star Trek, Star Wars isn't about exploration so we go places that are already established. There's no narrative reason for us to see planets that cannot support life.

He was accused of something? I watch his "Now in the 90's" show every week.

Grooming and being super controlling of his wife and stuff.

Reality was he shared naked pics with adult fans of his which was really fucking dumb on his part but not criminal like he was accused of. Until he brought receipts though his career was done, everybody believed his at the time wife. She tried to destroy him when they split.

I don't think the ports changed. From what I gather it's just a bigger/better OLED screen, lighter, better battery life, more storage. The form factor stays the same.

Nothing changed except what you mentioned. It also with a smaller die probably runs a bit cooler too.

Double the storage too. How easy is it to upgrade storage on the old Steam Decks? Never got that far with mine.

It's not too hard but it's easier on the new one since the screw threads are now metal instead of plastic so you aren't at such risk of stripping it if you misthread the screw when reassembling.

I was paraphrasing, not saying that they actually had a salary. It seems pretty obvious where the expenses went.

It really doesn't seem obvious when the wages portion of their returns is $0 for each employee and they have not noted what any of their expenses are like a non-profit is supposed to.

He was aware. He is a director for Open Hand Foundation, and he lives with the president and vice president.

They paid themselves out of the donations every year and are sitting on the rest, so I'd say that is at the level of stealing money.

Actually their tax documents show nobody got paid wages, they have expenses but they have not noted what those expenses were for in their returns.

OK, I've watched the video.

I don't know the legal differences in the US, but I know that my parents helped run an NPO where they would get cash donations that go into a single coffer and at the end of the year they give out the interest accumulated from that account to projects in their scope of interest.

Sounds like that isn't the intention of Jhirard's charity, but at the same time if the money has been sitting and accumulating interest in that way, they could end up giving out more money over time than they actually take in.

If the money is still there and awaiting the proper organization that fits in-line with what they want to do, I'm disappointed that wasn't conveyed but I'm also not like, pissed off about it. That money is there and awaiting a place for it to go that makes sense. I have no doubt that it's likely no members of his family knew WTF they were doing in creating this charity and what exactly they HAD to do and not do.

They were misrepresenting themselves, a charity isn't allowed to say they've been giving out money to so and so all while not giving out any money.

The game was beyond average.

The big surprise was FF16 getting snubbed for GoTY for Spider-Man 2 instead.

Spider-Man 2 doesn't surprise me, I would have subbed out Resident Evil for FFXVI though but regardless BG3 should be the clear winner regardless of what other games are on the list.

It was a good game but it wasn't GOTY material.

It's not that people become more conservative as they get older, it's more what is conservative changes as each generation trends more left.

People's personal political views don't usually shift too much once they're an adult.

For their price they're not bad specifically because it's pretty easy to get various discounts on them. That said, if you're willing to pay a bit more? You can get a noticeable improvement in audio quality.

So really it boils down to what your budget is. If your budget is capped out at where you find some discounted Skull Candy then odds are it'll do alright for you but if you have a higher budget than that you can absolutely find better.

Oh, I remember when I used to get NHL Game Centre or something, cost a whack of money each year and I could watch literally anything. Anything that is except Canucks games. Why couldn't I watch Canucks games? Because I lived in Vancouver and the local broadcast rights were owned by TSN or some shit. I had to use a freakin' VPN in order to watch the games I cared the most about even with the ridiculous amount of money I was paying them per year.

Nowadays the streaming service lets me actually see local games but I also don't want to pay them for the service any more since they've pissed me off so much over the years.

Sony actually typically has excellent audio products and they have the best noise cancellation in the industry. I imagine the ear buds are going to be a legit good product.

The problem with Sony though is very much the same problem as Apple, they love proprietary shit, if they can lock you in to their eco system they will absolutely try to do that.

Like, if Amazon takes over medical care then that means the alternatives were so dogshit, lets let Amazon do it. Like someone said, your healthcare being attached to your employer (or pay an arm and a leg in the private market) is no different.

Employment would still be attached to your employer in that you need to still be able to afford Amazon Prime and the cost of their insurance. Add to that you're giving a corporation even more personal information about you, more information than your employer would be getting since Amazon themselves are the insurer. We're talking medical record information.

I don't see how anybody could think this is a good idea.
