Since it's right at the start you can fail very quickly but if you chase the fish, your bar gets too much momentum if the fish flies back down, and you're doomed. --- |

| Doe 10/07/18 12:01:46 AM #1 | Like really though, what the fuck. It may be exacerbated too by me playing on Switch. There's no level of interesting challenge to fishing. It's either braindead hovering or else the fish jerks up and down the full range of the pole far faster than your bar can be maneuvered; in some cases I am convinced it is physically impossible to catch the fish with that pattern because you will either red out by not chasing it up or not have enough time for the bar to drop back down when the fish flings back downwards. Add onto all that that you can also just reel in trash that is forced into your inventory and which you must clean out with the very cumbersome (on Switch) menu system. And yet this seems to be one of the only things to do in winter, especially considering I've already cleared the 120 floors of the mine and have a ton of ingots in reserve for sprinklers and such. And jeez, it forces a save every time you sleep for the night which takes like half a minute on Switch. I'm having trouble finding motivation to play rn --- |
