(one example of these simulations)The speedrun community's odds of 7.5 trillion to Dream's chances were actually rather generous; it's the odds of any one speedrunner encountering a luck divergence on Dream's level with any pair of values in the game. The exact odds of what happened in Dream's streams is, unfathomably, in the sextillions. Dream previously released a response to the community's results. In it, he claimed to have hired a Harvard PhD in "astrophysics and astrostatistics" to check the results; in fact, this source was anonymous. Statisticians at large have blasted the document for not only being nonsensical and mixing different types of statistics, but also ultimately only bargaining the number down to the millions anyway. Dream has used a lot of rhetorical strategies to try and discredit his accusers, but ultimately, numbers don't lie. He's a cheater. --- |

I can't find the article explaining it but basically, the artist contractor market is super crowded and the faster you put out work the more money you're taking in, so one factor that leads to this art is that it's just very easy, mostly employing simple 2d shapes with no depth and solid colors and little need for accurate anatomy. --- |
