Are you programming a video game?

Go to item menu first, and EQUIP an item. Then, you should be able to use it on targets without having to reselect the item each time.

Yeah. Interesting idea, but I also want each character to be able to hold up to five items.

Badically, I'm shooting for best of both worlds. Characters have to equip items individually (3 potions require 3 slots) but it's a more FF-style "up to X number of each item" system in the shared inventory. Having a limited inventory per character per battle means you can't steamroll by just farming 99 super potions but also if you do have 99 super potions you don't have to drop something every time you open a chest.

I guess if I could find enough buttons on the controller, I could assign each item to a button. Or maybe hold a shouder button to bring up the item menu and push a face button to choose an item. Like KH. But that would limit you to four...

Do you still want to be able to choose a target after selecting an item to use?

I kinda figured it should work the same way as attacking--choose your target, then choose the item to use on them--but I keep pulling up the item menu first without thinking about it and accidentally healing the enemy... and I programmed it.

What do you think, CE?

Or maybe the time I literally went to a job interview for an engineering position at a company that develops radomes without any shoes on. I brought clothes to change into when I arrived, and totally forgot to bring any shoes. I decided if I wear my tennis shoes (with a suit), they'll notice immediately but maaaaaybe my black socks could go unnoticed.

They asked me if I had any questions and I asked "so uh... what IS a radome?" Immediately knew it was a bad move but frankly I always thought radomes were fictitious sci-fi tech that Kojima made up.

I had an interview to be a salesman. Which is a ridiculous concept--me being a salesman.

But the address they gave me had to be wrong--or else mapquest just sucked, which I guess it did--because the directions I printed out took me into a subdivision. Fortunately, I left myself so extra time just in case I got lost, but even so I was a few minutes late when I finally found the place. So I walk in, it's a fairly large office building--the kind where each office is for a different company--and I find the suite number. Heavy wooden doors. Remembering my manners and not knowing what is immediately on the other side of the door, I knock. I wait. Nothing. I knock again. Wait. Nothing.

This other dude in a suit comes down the hall, I kid you not, literally walks in front of me, opens said door and walks in without a word. And here I am, evidently completely invisible, standing there with my suit and Fischer-Price briefcase like the beta-est beta who ever beta'd. So I'm like... was that guy another applicant, or was that actually the business owner? If I knock now, will that be seen as a smartass move? If that was the guy who's supposed to interview me, is he gonna be like "who need a beta salesman?"

So I leave. I got an email later that day asking me to reschedule... but I mean I didn't want to be a salesman anyway, and you really can't make much worse of a first impression than that so.

Honestly an armed gunman is pretty low on the list of things to worry about at school.

Every 60 hours an armed gunman attacks a school, and that sucks and it's bad and I wish it didn't happen.

Every second kids are bullied, lied to, cheated, belittled, destroyed mentally and emotionally, and led astray at school, and those things can have permanent consequences too.

You know, probably not.

Most people don't go around telling people what kind of genitals they have. I can't think of any reason for it to be relevant other than to make a statement.
