I didnt see the announcement until now. Is that what Im seeing? Is it just the Titanic slowly sinking into the frozen depths?

This is a weird question but Im starting to become curious. Ive been at this job for 5 years. Some people Ive worked with for just as long. However, it feels like many people.,. fear me? I guess? Maybe they are really careful not to make me mad?

I am a very quiet person. Ill talk to you if you talk to me or if I need something from you. Outside of that? Thats about it. Its rare that I start up a conversation. I think Im a very chill person. I mind my business and do my job. However, many times people seem to be on edge when talking to me.

It really shows when I go to ask a question about work. Its like they are afraid of screwing up or something like there will be consequences. Even people above me act like that. Like Im some ticking time bomb waiting to blow up. People over explain questions I have and seem super nervous about it. This is even h the case for people Ive worked with for years.

Hell, I can screw up and my boss seems to be scared to call me out on it. Sometimes I have a dumb habit of being late to work. I know I need to do better but no one says anything while I eventually fix it. However, others will get called out for less.

I dont get it. I dont know if its because Im quiet, Im unreadable or something else. It isnt a real problem for me but Im starting to get really curious about it.

Every time I try Honey Dew it just isnt for me. Granted, I havent really had top tier Honey Dew or anything but they just seem to not be for me. Same with Cantaloupe. I would love for them to taste great but they just arent for me. Its unfortunate. My taste buds also likes sour things more than sweets things. Thats why my favorites are things like Strawberries, Blackberries and Kiwi. I like Kiwi that is a little unripe to get that sour kick along with the sweetness

Another life hack I learned is just getting a French fry cutter, cut whole potatoes into fries in one go, season them then bake them. Boom. French fries with way less calories and without the grease. Hell you can do 3 potatoes, which is filling on its own, and probably only have it be about 600 calories. You just have to drain the starch out the potatoes after cutting them to make them crispy when they bake.

Tons of crazy stuff has happened over around a years time. The Palestine situation and how the Iran situation. There is clear destabilization in the Middle East and Israel is in the center of it. We know the horrors going on in Gaza. The US has tried many times to convince Israel to change their strategy and tactics but they seem to take very little of that advice, if any.

Israel then attacks an Iran embassy which seems to be an unspoken rule not to do. So Iran responds and says ahead of time this is the end of their response. No one dies on the Israel side but now they are swearing a very strong response. This can escalate to a horrible regional conflict if the US cant talk them down.

The US seems to be allies with Israel so they can have influence in the Middle East. The problem is that Israel knows this so they seem to not fear repercussions from the US because of this. So they seemed to be doing damn near whatever they want. If the US cant influence Israel much at all then is the alliance even worth it?

That was my thought but I had another thought. What happens if the US completely pulls out the Israel alliance and loses influence in the Muddle East? Would that be better or worse for the region? It seems like the US doesnt have much control from our point of view but what does it look like when they truly have no control? How many more lives would be lost? Would things even change that much? What about the other countries in the region that have been relatively quiet compared to Israel and Iran? This is assuming the US doesnt have any influence at all instead of really trying to stop the massacre in Gaza.

To be very clear, I dont know any of these answers. Im not someone who understand foreign policy that well. Im hoping people on here that are smarter than me can explain the consequences if they decide to end the Israel alliance.

I agree there are many issues we are concerned with but Abortion tends to affect Americans directly so it is probably the number 1 issue. Its human nature to prioritize their own self interests over interests of others. It sounds horrible to say but its the reality. Im assuming you are thinking that the Palestine situation is number 1.

The number 1 issue for Americans, by far, seems to be Abortion. It seems that the vast majority of Americans are consistently on the side of Abortion rights. Democrats are clearly taking advantage of that fact because they seem to be out performing Republicans in elections rather consistently.

What I find strange is that, even with this being the case, Republicans keep hard pushing for Abortion bans. They arent trying to adjust around this losing issue. In fact, they seem to bring it to the forefront more often than not for some strange reason.

Has something like this happened before in history? An issue that clearly the vast majority of Americans are on one side of but a political party hard commits to the other side? What has happened if this was a thing in the past?

My assumption is that political party eventually changed sides on that issue but I dont see that change coming any time soon for Republicans. So much so that Im starting to wonder if we are seeing the beginning of the destruction of the Republican Party over this issue. That idea seems absurd though so that is why Im asking if something like this has happened before and what the outcome was.

I guess his stupidity knows no bounds. So Trumps grand plan is to bend the knee to Putin like he always has? OK LMFAO. I know this is a few days old but he continues to blow my mind with how dumb he is on the national stage. I cant image how awful he would handle the Palestine situation

What we really should work on is changing American Foreign policy. That sounds like a monumental task that would take decades, and I wouldnt even know where to start outside of the local level, but that is what needs to happen. Apparently Biden is actually trying to make things better in Gaza but its way too slow because of Foreign Policy.

Ive learned a lot about this stuff because of Gaza but I still know so little. It seems very complicated outside of the fact that Foreign Policy only cares about power.

This is based on multiplayer games. Its something Ive been thinking about for a long time and I figured I would finally make a topic about it. The powers that talk the most shit, talk shit unprovoked, drop slurs in chat, etc. are PlayStation players. Clearly every fan base base these type of people but PlayStation seems to be the worst by a landslide.

In crossplay games, I often check to see what platform someone is on when they say some toxic shit and it feels like its 80% PlayStation players. Maybe its because all the CoD players migrated over to PlayStation back when the exclusivity changed after the 360 era. Since CoD sucks now, those players probably switched games so they are everywhere in other multiplayer games.

Thatcus my experience anyway. Anyone else have the same experience?

I work overnights so I didnt catch up on what has happened today until recently. Why the fuck are these fucking people mad that Trans day falls on Easter when it has been March 31st for who knows how long? How does both days being the same day even affect their Easter? Why the fuck are they using this moment to say Biden put this holiday in effect on the same day as Easter just as a middle finger to Christians when it has been on the 31st for many years? I doubt it. That takes effort. Humans usually take the path of least resistance. They will also have to be super organized to motivate a bunch of people to make up the deficit of the potential rigged election. I dont expect that to happen. Also, logically speaking, if you think something is rigged, why would you think that voting in droves would help overcome that? If you think its rigged then you think you have no power to change it because they can simply overrule you. Rigged is fundamentally different than a disadvantage

In 2020 he actually lost so now voters that support him have begun to think it was pointless to vote if they think its rigged. If he keeps reinforcing that to his base then more and more of them will see no point in going out to vote

You know what? I have a scorching take that I've never really said to anyone. I respect Jay-Z's success but I think he is mid at best as a rapper. I don't mean mid in the top tier of rappers. I mean literally middle of the road. I don't get why people love him so much. He does have some moments but most of the time it's just whatever. Most of his songs or when he is featured doesn't do it for me. IDK if I would even have him in the Top 50 personally.

So they are actually consistently making great changes to the game lately. All heroes will be free starting in season 10 which is in mid April I think. This includes all previous heroes. Apparently the premium currency will be in both the free and paid track of the battle pass. They are adding new maps, new game modes and reworking some of the bad current maps. All the old Mythic skins will that appeared in the older battle passes will be available in the shop to purchase individually next season as well.

They are also balancing the game quickly and are willing to try out of the box new things to make the game better. They are currently testing in game a QP mode that removes hero limits in each role so you can double up on each hero. They are looking for feedback and there is a strong chance they dont go with this if the feedback is poor.

I know people have written off Overwatch since OW2 came out but they are genuinely trying to fix the game. The current development team is trying to fix the mess the previous development team dumped into their lap with the shit show launch of OW2. If you have any interest in the game, I suggest just keeping an eye on it. It might be worth coming back to one day
