Manowar. We purposefully purchased seats on the upper balcony only for us, and many others, to find out that Manowar intentionally closes those, and installs special barriers to prevent the sound from going up there. Instead, keeping all the decibels in the lower part of the venue. This venue was standing room only and my wife cant stand for long periods of time. They ended up having an ADA area set up right next to the closest railing. It was about 30-40 feet away from the stage. A little closer than the front row of the upper deck area so we both got significant better seating than we would have had.

I remember feeling the air pressure it was so loud. We were aware they were pretty damned loud and had ear plugs and it only helped a bit. Our bodies literally were sore for several days from the decibels.

And they blew out a pre amp during one song and had to go off stage to wait for the replacement. Which is when they explained why the upper deck was closed and why. They also explained they have a shitload of backup equipment because they destroy so much of it

It was a fucking intense show.

Lol yeah, Manowar's whole gimmick is being the loudest band in the world. They don't fuck around.

There is definitely a volume difference in bands and their setups. For instance the last time I saw Metallica, they had Avenged Sevenfold and Gojira opening. Both opening bands were pretty loud, and Metallica was WAY louder than them.

Mine is still when I saw Motorhead at the House of Blues in 2011. Had floor "seats" and was front row. My ears freaking rang for like a week after.

Someone basically paid for her content only to use it against her, which is just... what the fuck? My friend's wife actually dealt with this a bit when her kid was in school, because she had worked as a alt/fetish model for years (was a Suicide Girl awhile back), then got intro the photography side. I guess some parents heard she "did porn" and tried to make a stink out of it, but she wasn't volunteering at the school or anything, so I'm not entirely sure what they wanted to happen lol

Monica Rambeau. She, was in WandaVision. In the comics she had a run as Captain Marvel, well before Carol Danvers even had the title. She's had a ton of aliases, but I believe they're going with her Photon alias in the MCU to honor her mother's call sign.

I mean, Miles Morales is super popular so I guess it worked in his case. Kamala Khan becoming the new Ms Marvel has also been a popular move. What was funny to me though was when Sam Wilson became Captain America and dudes lost their shit. There had been like, 3 or 4 different people to take on the mantle of Captain America at that point and doofuses that knew nothing about comics were just like "CAPTAIN AMERICA IS WHITE!" No... Steve Rogers is white, important distinction there.

GTA 3 was probably the most revolutionary game on that list and at the time was just insanely fun running around doing seemingly what you wanted in the sandbox they provided.

They made the smart move and went with an animated movie this time, so it will at least LOOK like the source material instead of whatever the fuck the first movie was with it's weird dinosaur dystopia, human looking Bowser, no Princess Peach and this thing being a Goomba

The action scenes are still fun, but I dunno, it's very much of its time. As a trilogy is pretty mediocre because you can only stretch the gimmick so far, and the story is fairly underwhelming.

My first job was McDonald's (I was maintenance), if they take more than 90 seconds serving you, it can be a problem.

But yeah, aside from that, people in the service industry rarely get weekends off. You'll have some fucked slip schedule like having Monday and Wednesday off, so you don't even get 2 off in a row, so being like "yay! Weekend!" gets annoying.

Other obnoxious phrases: "it's such a nice day out today!"

Or my "favorite": "I can't believe you have to work today! You should be home with family!" As they buy shit they don't need on a holiday.

Yeah, keep telling yourself that the vast majority disagree but Mr. Contrarian himself thinking the movie was lame is fine. Bullet Time got overdone because everyone imitated it, but it was very cool for it's day.

I have a feeling the vast majority here didn't see The Matrix on or near release.

The problem with everything imitating it, as well as being used for a cheap laugh in tons of comedy movies around that era is when you go back, it retroactively makes it look kinda silly. Then the sequels got too far removed from what made the first one cool to begin with. Then you had all those techno thrillers in the 90s where computers were treated like magic mystery boxes and the internet was new and also "magical" in those damn movies, the whole genre is super dated and doesn't really work anymore.

Pretty "meh". The 2nd and 3rd Matrix movies weren't very good, and honestly the first one doesn't hold up all that well.

Ive seen it, and have used it. Even then, the drivers may sure I had my food. They would wait by there car after putting my food on my chair. And make sure I had everything. This driver should have done the same

Granted I've never had my food go to the wrong place, but most of mine have just been a text telling me my food is outside and they're already gone lol

Most services have had "no contact delivery" all through covid.

I'm like, 5'7" and literally never had a problem getting women. I think a lot of shorter dudes have a bunch of hang ups and awful personalities and blame their height for not getting a date. Now, when I was online dating did I see some profiles saying "must be over 6 ft"? Sure, I just moved on and didn't get pissy about it, everyone has their thing they're into.
