If somebody is in dire straits while looking for work, I would assume it's very stressful. Not that it changes much, unless the "burnout" takes the form of giving up after failing interviews, selling everything, and living out of a van in a Wal-Mart parking lot or down by the river, because you've still got to do it. Financial uncertainty is always going to be stressful, which is why people should save whenever able (even if that might require making lifestyle cuts, or working more). --- Woken LLC ... Depends You could be burnt out from job hunting and not receiving a call back (very unlikely right now unless you have a record, but even then..), or maybe still burnt out from a previous job that you're not ready for another one.. Depends what's causing those feelings. You can be unemployed and still have plenty on your plate. If you don't, but you still feel stressed/burnt out/overwhelmed, though, that's pretty likely to be a sign of some manner of underlying mental illness (specifically an anxiety disorder), so it'd be in your best interests to seek treatment for that if you can. --- This is my signature.
