Is this something that you schedule at your doctor's office? I just use q tips, which is discouraged in every medical document you read, but what else do people buy them for? The other day I had it removed with a vacuum. But before I've had it removed with water like the second poster, and they also use a metal device to remove loose pieces. After being on a train in Germany, it's nothing. How much does that cost? And where are you located? I once had my ears cleaned for free by the nurse at the doctors office. She flushed it out with water IIRC and I guess it was part of visit. This time I went to the audiologist I think, they used a vacuum to clean my ears.
