I think the reason G2-5 they didn't tell Iris is because her growth as a character was in realizing that it wasn't important who her birth father was. She knows who her father is, she knows who her family is, and she's at peace with that.

I'm so happy that (G2-3) Gina gets to come back and be allowed the opportunity to have a future where she can be happy with what she does. Her entire arc in the first game was so cynical and it's so nice to see her turn herself around. Kinda like Adrian Andrews in that regard.

Is it weird that I'm more interested to find out (G2-2) how they handled Shamspeare's dialogue in Japanese? I wonder if they would just substitute Shakespeare lines as the Japanese know them or use other types of theatrical dialogue that fit better with the Japanese language/culture?

Well it's far easier to pick up on when the original Japanese just used the name "Watson" instead of Wilson, because I guess Japan doesn't have to worry about legal houndings from the Doyle estate.

Yeah it became obvious to me that this is very specifically a two game series. Like no games in the AA series have the direct continuity on the level of these two games. It's more like a single larger story told in ten chapters.

People and concepts show up in the first game and you're like "what the heck was that even why didn't it figure into the case or even the rest of the game" and it turns out anything that seems a red herring is setup for the second game.

Oh yes and I will say that I think G2-1 is better than G1-1 by sheer virtue of it being shorter. I feel they wanted to extend G1-1 to three chapters and didn't have enough to fill it in, so they made up some stuff to drag it out. G2-1 is two chapters and it never feels artificially extended. If you take the time to examine the evidence you get to the usual place where you're like "okay this is a thing I can't use now but should remember for later" and you get to the end at the exact point you use your last of those.

For the other, they want dominance over them.

So forget what I said about politicans, media, etc. They'll listen to them all day if it's along those lines of what they want to hear. They'll be ruled if it means they get to be on top.

Fox and Republican politicians will always stroke their constituents ego, telling them how "on their side" they are, and how "we all know" the right way for the country to go. Republicans will listen to that, certainly.

Of course individual Republican voters are salvageable, but it has to be done at the micro level, the personal level. No Republican voter will ever respond well to a large group of people telling them what's right or what to do.

Endemic to their ideology is the focus around the small group, the small circle of responsibility. They'll listen to friends, family members, their own direct leaders, but not politicians, generally not talking heads on TV, and not large protesting groups. That kind of message makes them dig in their heels. How could all those other people who they've never met know how they live, and what they want?

There's the impasse, and why it's so slow to get turnaround.

And what to do with the 74 million plus who voted for Trump? Nothing especially, just make sure they don't get to lead others. Because they don't act in the service of others. They act in the service of themselves. We've seen it time and again.
