When was your tenure? Mine was 2001-2010.

At first it honestly wasn't a big deal. Get a little power rush from slapping down troublemakers and move on with my day. The users made it easier back then.

As the years went on and people got older, more bitter, and better at trying to skirt the rules (having broken them for a decade), it was just draining. I'm so glad I got out when I did because that curve just kept sliding down.

EDIT: Or to put it another way, Dread comes out not long after Lost Judgment, so I'll be DEEP into work on that game/guide. Also right around the same time the Outer Wilds DLC will drop and I GOTTA get my ass in there.

It provides a solid picture of the black experience in the Jim Crow era.

It also has sheer bloody vengeance visited upon white people via magic and Chthulhu horrors.

Like every so often it'll go down an interesting and mysterious road and then it just comes back to "now let's kill these evil white people". And don't get me wrong, those particular white people are doing some proper Lovecraftian evil, but they also get it HARD and up the butt in one case.

While the history parts are nice, the violent parts are indulgent and gratuitous.

I just feel tonally the greater story doesn't quite know how deep into fantasy it wants to be. Does that make sense?

Yeah one thing Star Wars hasn't really tackled is unfettered capitalism. Whenever the rich and high-class are displayed it's all fine and dandy stuff like that weird opera in RotS. Like Christ people there's a galactic war going on.

And in the case of this experience, you're basically paying to be one of a 100 exclusive people that get a pampering for a day and a half in nerd land. Like I like Star Wars but I like it in my head. I don't want to have it thrown at me in a shameless display.

I suppose they tried to get close in Canto Bight, but really it was more of a sideshow than anything else. They almost had something with going on about arms dealers and how they fund both sides, but that was after the goofy casino and the save the whales event and then they rushed back to the plot with no further discussion.

I think the Switch could emulate the Gamecube, DS, 3DS and Wii if they really wanted to as well.

Again, it's a case of it they consider it worth the effort. Also they won't emulate DS or 3DS games because they still sell 3DS's.
