Do people now confuse CO and CO2 or maybe people do not know there can be more than one compound of two elements? (In all fairness I have forgotten which oxides of nitrogen are which).

It could be worse.

Thinking of drinking songs and camaraderie --- I wonder if men or women get equal shares. Then it occurred to me that there are garment factories, laundries, kitchens, brothels so maybe it is equal.

Get real, though. As long as the only means of enforcing it are in Norway and then only by taking them to court---

1) Rich people or sketchy people can breed them.

2) Buy a puppy from the rest of the world.

If I had more income or I had spent less of it, I would. It sounds worthwhile.

NPR quotes the campaign statement of opposition. Does this constitute biased reporting? It strongly implies that the current President and Vice President did not act until the crisis occurred.

I believe that the embargo is a thing. We now have diplomatic relations with Cuba. The embargo prevents any ship from docking at US ports within (I think) 6 months after docking in Cuba.

Not a fan of people being garbage and pulling the "think of the children" kard, but yeah, a parent just legit had his kid's life threatened over negligence. Privileged or not, not a lot of people would be expected to keep their rage in check.

Kid is possibly dying and Dad wants to beat somebody up. I suppose all of the dads who can only think of the kid at such a time are lesser dads.

I think his being fired by Meryl Lynch is like anyone else's getting fired where there is not union representation. I think it sucks. I think it is final.

Running off to a smoothie shop to yell at people is so immature that I do not think that being unhinged by circumstances is an explanation. It makes me believe that guy gets through life by yelling at people and I believe that getting through life by yelling at people is way worse than being a racist.

I bought instant Pho Bo = rice noodles with artificial beef flavor. I added boiling water and let it sit. It tasted fine to me.

I am not sure if labeling artificial beef flavor is new or if artificial beef flavor is new. Perhaps, even, artificial beef flavor is better than beef flavor. Neither one is beef.

So I will buy a can of stir fry vegetables and use sesame oil while frying it with eggs. I think I have (Mexican) rice flour to add as a thickener.

I personally like Playstation because of the controller and exclusives. Also the UI is more friendly.

I will probably get a series S around black Friday though and wait for a PS5 slim. I like small consoles because I move them from room to room and also I take mine over to a friend's house a lot

My place has always had a exceptionally high turnover rate. We have about 30 production lines in 4 facilities in various parts of Missouri. The line I work on is notorious for it being a horrible line to work on. So those of us who were long timers (my 20 year anniversary at the company will be in june) started keeping track of the turnover.

In 2019 we had 35 people quit or get fired. 2020 had 23, and 2021 had 26. So far this year we have 3. This is part of a broader trend within the company. According to the training facilitators the turnover rate for factory personnel is about 45%.

Now this is of course unsustainably high, but what has to be remembered is that the great majority of those are people who get hired work there for six months or less and then say fuck it and quit. What's changed in the last 18 months though is that's not only newer employees quitting. It's people who have been there ten years plus, which is very rare because once you hit a certain number of years your benefits are hard to replicate at a new job.

The problem is that with the departure of these veteran employees the pool of people to train the new people on the jobs on the line gets smaller and smaller. So what happens is we get new people, train them for a day or so and then since we can't spare the person training them the new person gets left to do the work with barely any training. Then get harassed by management for shitty quaility or lack of speed of production, so they quit. It's created a spiral that should lead to an entertaining year for us.

Spirals like this seem problematical. Is this something that will be absorbed by our economy or are we doomed?
