If the courts can prove the guy is a lying sack of shit then put him on support. Shouldnt be to hard. Text messages, witnesses testimony from both parties family and freinds, what they're prior relationship was like and so on.

If she slept with a bunch of guys in one night stands and you just happaned to be the father amongst them but you want nothing to do with said woman and child then the guy should have the right to walk away from C.S.

Agreed, and I think it should be society collectively if one of the parents, say, doesnt have the ability to support the child.

I didnt mean to imply I thought it was nefarious, just that it can happen and may catch one party totally off-guard and against their will.

I suppose at that point, in both my example and yours, it would probably have to come down to some sort of pre-sex written contract if we want the courts to be able to reasonably make a decision.

There should be a financial abortion.

I don't personally do not agree with abortion, however I am person who says that is between the woman and her Doctor not me. However since woman can be released from responsibility I think men should be able to as well. It is only fair .

I am one of those taxpayers and I do want to have such robust social safety nets that everybody is able to feel that they can be a single parent without having to struggle, and I am not alone in that desire. You don't get to make things up and then use it as an argument. I am not saying that you actually are a right winger, I'm saying that in this case you're using a right winger argument. Because you absolutely are. You are literally arguing "if you don't want babies then keep your legs closed." That is 100% a right wing stance that we on the left are supposed to vehemently oppose when it's used to say that women shouldn't have abortions...until we start talking about financial abortion, when suddenly a bunch of people like you act like it becomes a valid argument when it's applied to men.

An even better discussion than the child support one is custody rights/battles.

What's "with it" is that you're repeating the most common right wing anti-abortion argument, which is "if you don't want babies then just keep your legs closed." It's a bad argument when they use it and it's a bad one when you use it too. I don't consider "women have to accept the possibility of an unwanted pregnancy and the associated consequences if they have sex so if it happens she'd better just be ready to step up" to be a valid argument in the year 2020, and the same argument is not more valid when applied to men.

Thinking a bit more on this, every woman I've talked to about this who agreed with men having a choice to opt out was either a) decently well off or more or b) independence minded.

The women who don't tend to need the money a whole lot more, or aren't as independence minded.

Men deserve more legal protections than this.

This. My cat always plops down on my lap 1-2 minutes before I plan to get up. Then she looks up at me with lovey eyes and I don't have the fortitude against that level of cuteness so I wind up stuck for an hour while she naps.

Yeah I had something all planned out so I took away all the items I had placed around, got rid of all but 1 of each fruit tree (to have fruit to replant later) so I didnt have to keep moving them around while I worked (I still need to yeet the bamboo since I have enough shoots to replant whatever i need later), moved the villager houses all together temporarily, did the rock garden and then did some preliminary terraforming and lost motivation lol. Up until a few days ago the flowers were all bunched up randomly everywhere but it kept raining and making a bunch of useless primary colors so I organized them into whatever free space I could find off the main section so at least they make hybrids if it rains but those will all have to be moved again later >_>

If you both list some of the ones you want I'm sure we can all work something out, and songs I dont have are appreciated
