Honestly, with DVDs this should change. You can select languages, captions, widescreen or fullscreen. I should have the option to turn off lens flare, make the pointlessly dark "It's 3am and my mansion literally has one lamp on" scenes brighter, de-shake the cam during action scenes, and so on.

This is true. I swear every one I work with who's under 25 has a smartphone and can't go 20 minutes with out a "bathroom break" to check their Facebook. Of course there's definitely people over 30 who are just as bad.
