No thanks. I've already seen many people say that the cast is pretty much acting the same as they did in the original series. That plus the dated art style and 195 episodes means I have no reason to even bother with the original.

It hasn't been announced for a dub by Crunchyroll yet, but I'm 99.9% sure it'll get one. From what I understand, Sunrise usually handles their mecha/Gundam dubs in-house (which is why CR didn't announce one, Sunrise would be the ones announcing it) and almost all of them get dubs. Considering the split cour nature of the show and how Sunrise handled dubbing their last split-cour mecha anime, AMAIM Warrior at the Borderline, I would guess that the dub for Witch From Mercury will start in the gap between the two cours of the subbed broadcast. Good luck trying to avoid spoilers until then!

I never watched the original Urusei Yatsura, but I tried the first episode of the reboot because of the reputation the original series had... wow, I did not enjoy that at all. I know humor is subjective and all, but I didn't find it the least bit funny, and I already despise basically every single major character I've seen so far. I'll probably give it a couple more episodes to be fair, but if the rest of the series is more of the same, then it's just not for me.

Yes it does, and Marincess is a great choice to use in the upcoming Link event if you don't have a deck that already works for it. Don't forget to buy 3 of the Salamangreat structure deck to get a playset of Cynet Mining. Marincess uses that card as well, and spending 1500 gems to get it is way better than spending 90 UR materials to craft them.

Short answer: No, it's shit.

Long answer: Using the monster summoned by this card as Xyz material (and only Xyz material, not for any other type of summon) doesn't count as the monster "leaving the field", so it bypasses the negative drawback of this card and could maybe be useful in that sense. But if the opponent has a quick effect that can destroy the monster before you can use it as Xyz material (which they likely will because this is a trap card that you have to set and wait a turn to use) then you lose on the spot, so it's far too risky to ever be worth using. In other words: No, it's shit.

Apparently the Reg Duel has fewer gems than normal, and no missions.

Saw someone positing that this may be Konami experimenting with semi-permanent alternative formats and that we could still be due for a festival later in the month.

If we actually get a different festival event later this month, then sure, that sounds good. But If we're getting this instead of a festival event and we're just getting less gems this month than we did in previous months, then that sucks.

Bushiroad really just dropped a 100% confirmed and canon gay couple into D4DJ out of nowhere after baiting the yuri for like a decade in Love Live, BanG Dream, and Revue Starlight. Am I really going to re-install this game for a third time to see the stories once this update and these new characters come to the global server? Probably.

I totally forgot that Mathmechs share the same secret pack with Sky Strikers. With only two 10-pulls, I got both copies I needed of the UR Mathmech Xyz monster, plus as a bonus I also got a glossy Kagari and a glossy Engage to make my Sky Striker decks even more shiny.

I'll deal with the Marincess deck on my side account tomorrow. I've stayed up late enough already.

Looks like it's just ranked duels but with a Link-only format and a different banlist. You get gems at each rank, and the main cosmetic rewards are the Link Blue card sleeves at Platinum 5 and the Link Master frame all the way at Diamond 1. I'll probably stop at Platinum 5.

The servers of the (Japanese-only) Yuki Yuna Is A Hero gacha game are shutting down later this month and it's getting an offline version... but the offline version is releasing for consoles instead of on mobile devices where the original gacha version of the game was, complete with a graphics upgrade and an exclusive new story just for this console version. That's actually really cool. It's most likely still Japanese only, but if by some miracle they also decided to localize this version into English, I would definitely consider playing it.

I've heard of gacha games getting console versions, but it's usually just a port of the same version that's already on mobile. The only gacha game I know of that got a console version that was offline and removed the gacha aspect was BanG Dream Girls Band Party, but the mobile gacha version still existed alongside it. A console version after the mobile version shuts down is something new.

I've been wanting to build a Marincess deck since I learned about the new support, but I'm not gonna pull for them right when they're added. I'm still on the copium that the datamined Salamangreat structure deck will have Cynet Mining in it, so I'll wait until that comes out as well to decide.

It's really the fact that you get to turn off your floodgates on your own turn. I think that quality makes this deck more than anything, from experience.

Since it's a field spell, you can't really use it alongside Area Zero though. That's why I'm not running Area Zero in my deck. I'm still undecided on whether to add Multirole and what to take out for it if I do.

I went with some different floodgates than you did. I don't like Rivalry because it means I can't link summon while it's active, and I don't like Skill Drain because it means Hayate can't direct attack, which is my best win condition while the opponent is locked down. TCBOO still lets me link summon with Raye (I just can't swap between Sky Striker links) while also crippling some other decks as you mentioned, and I also went with both Kaiser Colosseum and Summon Limit to limit summons. All of those on top of Fire Prison making it so that only Link monsters can attack has messed up basically everyone I've faced with this deck.

Playing floodgate Sky Strikers. It's pretty inconsistent but very oppressive. It's amazing how much flexibility SS gives you with the floodgates. Just turn em off with the field spell or Multirole on a whim basically. Also nobody's running Imperial Order, not that it matters when I'm also running traps.

I spent a good chunk of today looking over all of my decks, making adjustments for the new banlist and deleting a few decks.

* I completely scrapped (deleted the deck and dismantled any cards I wasn't using in other decks) my Danger, Yosenju, Infernoid, Thunder Dragon, and Deskbot decks. The Infernoid deck in particular was an impulse build after I pulled a royal Infernoid Tierra, and I regret building the deck at all.

* I removed the Adventurer engine from every deck I had it in. I didn't dismantle any of the cards (besides the 2nd Enchantress that I can't use due to the new banlist) yet, just in case I might want to use them again. I'll re-evaluate this later.

* I modified a couple of my going 2nd decks to take advantage of the banlist putting Raigeki, Pankratops, and Red Reboot to 2, plus I also adjusted some other decks to try and make up for the tragic death of Crystron Halqifibrax. May he rest in peace.

* I built one new deck: another Sky Striker deck that uses a bunch of floodgates to annoy the shit out of the opponent. I'm talking "Mystic Mine at home" levels of floodgates. This is my stress relief to cope with the tragic death of Crystron Halqifibrax. He shall be avenged.

Is Tomo any good?

Tomo is outclassed by some other physical attackers (both Makotos, Christina, Muimi, Eriko, Djeeta) but is still pretty good for clan battles in her own right, especially after getting her UE. You'll need enough attackers to fill out two physical teams anyways (maybe three if you don't have Neneka and enough good mages for a full magic team) and Tomo is a solid choice for that, especially if you're missing any of the physical attackers I mentioned above. She's also another solid body to throw at the Tower Of Luna or big dungeon bosses, but she's pretty much useless for the PvP arenas.

Gundam The Witch from Mercury starting soon

I'm hyped for it. This will be my first time following a Gundam series as it airs (since it's the first time that a standalone Gundam series has aired at all since I've started following seasonal anime) so this is a brand new experience for me. The fact that it's also the first mainline Gundam series with a female main protagonist is an extra bonus too. You know I love me some anime with cute girls doing badass action things.
