| CableZL 09/14/17 4:11:10 PM #1 | Kevin Ashley Parnell, 38, faces a murder charge in the Sept. 4 death of Sammie Jones. The victim's roommate had been dating Parnell's stepdaughter, police said. Jones, 28, was shot in the face on Labor Day shortly after he answered the door of the home he shared with Jordan Briggs, according to the Star-Telegram. Parnell, who is white, blamed Briggs, who is black, for the recent prostitution arrest of his stepdaughter. Briggs denied having anything to do with the arrest, police told the newspaper. Before the shooting, Parnell sent Briggs messages that included the N-word and threatened to “hang” him, police say “I’m going to strip you naked and whip you like the slave you are,” he wrote, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by the Star-Telegram. Two hours before the shooting, he added: "You were warned." Police say Parnell pulled up to the house Jones and Briggs shared on Julie Avenue and asked for Briggs. “He banged on the door three times. I told Sammie not to answer," Briggs told the Star-Telegram. "I went to the back and instantly froze up." After Jones told Parnell that his roommate was not there, Briggs could hear Parnell ranting about black people, according to the affidavit. Jones apologized and tried to calm Parnell down, and that's when he pulled out his gun, Briggs said. “You know what kind of gun this is, boy," Parnell said, according to Briggs. "It is a Glock 40.” Briggs said his roommate did everything he could to defuse the situation. “Sammie was being so calm," Briggs told the Star-Telegram. "He just shot my bro in the face and burned off.” ones was pronounced dead at the scene from a gunshot wound in the face, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office. Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Parnell that night, and he was arrested the next day at the General Motors plant in Arlington, according to the Star-Telegram. Samsung got a ton of orders for the unlocked version. I saw an overview video of the Note 8 and apparently you can rearrange the buttons since they're digital and not physical. --- |

| CableZL 09/13/17 9:53:44 AM #1 | Due to the ridiculous comedy of errors I had with the Note 8 pre-order, I had to re-order on the 1st and then the shipping date was pushed out to next month for the unlocked version. Then I noticed the Sprint version was estimated to ship next week, so I cancelled my 2nd preorder and ordered a Sprint version. It's only like $20 more expensive and I'm still getting the $425 discount because I had the Note 7. So next week, I should have a brand new Note 8 in mah hands. Can't wait. --- |
