I had said that age is a really shitty predictor of between subject brain maturity, and so using it as a strict cut off is silly. More appropriate would be to take it on a case by case basis to assess maturity and circumstance.

Is there a circumstance where a 30 year old should be allowed to fuck a 10 year old? An 11 year old? 12? Etc.

As I've said to you before, as you continue to ask the same question over and over despite getting an answer to it:
The probability is likely so low that it might as well be zero at young ages, obviously. Doesn't mean that any given age cut off isn't completely arbitrary. Trajectories of development are so varied that pretending like a single age thresholds moral and amoral behavior is pretty silly, don't you think?

I don't know why you think this is some sort of "gotchya" question.

I agree. My question is: what is actually considered middle class? You cant go by income because that varies so much by region.

Good question, the definition seems to be hard to grab onto.

If we look at the household income distribution:
https://www.census.gov/library/visualizations/2015/demo/distribution-of-household-income--2014.html

Median household income is 53k, so presumably we would put some bounds on either side of that and call it a day. So like 25k-75k, or something like that, to capture the middle 3rd of the distribution.

Do you have memories of playing recent D3 content when you were a child?

I can play FFVII today and have the same exact experience I had when I was a kid, even though the dialog is ridiculous and the graphics are hard to understand. I play that game and feel the same grandiose emotions I felt as a child, and enjoy it just the same. If I were to take my experience and try to understand why a current day player, never having been exposed to the game, may have a different opinion, I would be dumbfounded. But I know that my experience is tinted with nostalgia. Those strong feelings are partially driven by memory.

It's really easy to see this effect in music. Everything you listened to in middle school is still fucking awesome, as embarrassing as it is to admit it to yourself.

Story being kitschy doesn't mean story doesn't matter, my point is entirely different. The story has ALWAYS been full of ridiculous tropes and over exaggerated caricatures.

I think too may people played Diablo 2 when they were 11 and thought "oh, this is so spoopy" and have now generalized their nostalgic experience to "what Diablo is supposed to be about".

Yes, like I said, people take Diablo too seriously. I pumped 100's of hours into Diablo as a kid, doesn't mean that it's some super serious competitive game.

There's an air to pretentiousness surrounding Diablo 2 fans, specifically. It's a fun game, it's always had an incredibly low barrier for entry, and just because you spent your childhood pouring hours into it, doesn't make it a super serious game that needs to be cloned from Diablo 2. Diablo 3 was a really good installment in the Diablo series. Kids who started with Diablo 2 don't seem to understand that the root really is arcade action rpg, just like Gauntlet Legends.

Here's the thing though, you tried to use biking as an analogy to show how stupid my argument was, but it turns out that competitive and 'hardcore' biking competitions are pretty much universally very long. The tour de france is like a month long of biking. Most bike marathons are at least 6-10 hours of biking.

Nobody is biking to the store or to work and calling themselves hardcore bikers.

Now, getting to your next point. Determining some arbitrary threshold is certainly arbitrary. My 30 minutes wasn't an actual threshold, and you are taking that number too seriously.

Having difficulty settings is a pretty silly deciding factor here. People take diablo too seriously, I'm guessing because it was several people's first online rpg. I spent hundreds of hours in Diablo as a kid, but in no way was that anything other than a casual game. Same way people spent hundreds of hours into Diablo 2 as a kid. As an online RPG, if you can pick it up for half an hour and accomplish something, it's pretty casual, as it were.
