Nostalgia for the movies helps, though I don't know how much of that there is. Gambit: Low Fodder. Not a household name at all, and not someone people will feel compelled to vote for. Aquaman: Mid Fodder. Jason Momoa looks nothing like the abominable video game Aquaman, which became X-Play's favorite whipping boy back in the day. So, it would be like: Division 1 match Division 1 match Division 1 match Division 2 match Division 2 match Division 3 match Division 3 match On repeat. Division 1 having five characters throws a wrench into things, but oh well. We'll make do. The division champions all move onto the final. The runners-up in each division will move on to the wild card division, where the winner of that will join the championship round. The metric that matters most is votes. However, a character will gain additional votes for winning a match, that being 20% of the total votes in that match (rounded down). The character with the most votes at the end of their division wins it. The one with the second-most goes to the Wild Card. Additionally, there will be a vote-in round that will function sort of like a Save My, but with the one character with the most votes entering the Wild Card Division as well. This is being added because of the additional character. The three Division winners and the Wild Card Division winner will all move on to a Championship match. The two with the most total votes across their matches in this Division will then face off in the final. That season was downright incredible, with zero duds in the cast, a great balance between personal content and gameplay, and some pretty surprising results. Also had Angelina and Christian, two iconic characters. This season has a pretty good cast, but I don't know if anyone's going to be THAT iconic, whereas it was obvious that those two would be by merge time. I'm not seeing many people calling IOI "the best since KR" since it's objectively wrong. Because DvG exists. And honestly, I care more about developing merge characters while not wholly ignoring the pre-merge boots. With IOI in play, this season is doing a pretty good job of editing, and for that it's a top-half season for me so far. And what they can vary is whether it's F2 or F3. I highly doubt that production would go out of its way to state "We do not vote" if they were going to let Rob and Sandra vote. That right there is a contract and I trust that the show wouldn't break its own contracts, even if they can undermine the game without them. I think Rob and Sandra will be in their little box at Tribal for FTC like always and won't come out until after the voting is completed. My Leia commission, for example, was 97% what I wanted, so I was incredibly satisfied. That was largely due to how specific I was - and how carefully I chose an artist. You can always ask for alterations. Or keep revising yourself, if you do an avatar creator. Best moment was easily Hat Kid upsetting Rikku, for me anyway. Given the way this format turned out, I do think my change in format for B8BOC will work a lot better, and I'm intrigued to see if advertising this will drum up any further interest. I have no confidence he could beat anyone else, however. Fortune: Low Fodder. I've never heard of this character, and because MGS has spiraled downward, I don't think a one-off villain from a game that's almost 20 y/o is going to do particularly well especially now that people don't care about her franchise. The fact that she's never made a bracket is something, right? Voldemort Fodder Line. "HE WHO MUST NOT BE NAMED" memes are sure to pop up, and I think that he could be the strongest Harry Potter character not named Harry (it's either him, Hagrid, or Hermione). A lot of nerds have fond memories of the Potter franchise, even though probably not through the video games, and that's going to boost the Dark Lord's chances quite a bit. He'd advance with a good draw, I think, but I have no way of knowing. This is most likely some sort of driver issue, or possibly with Steam if you didn't fresh install that too. Still need to nuke my old SSD though because my computer habitually boots to that despite me putting that drive last in the BIOS. No idea why that is. Makes me nervous to wipe it tbqh. But it could be an issue with a conflict from one drive vs. another? IDK. She's in Smash, so by rule she can't be Low Fodder, but I don't see people caring enough about her or her games for her to be anything higher than Mid. TJF may apply, but she still only got 27% on L-Block in 2013, so I kinda doubt that will help her much. Storm: High Fodder, I guess? I don't remember if the most popular female X-Men member is her, Rogue, or Kitty Pryde, but I think there's enough going for her that she's the strongest of this trio. Jimmy: Low Fodder. A Rockstar game that's over 10 y/o isn't going to amount to anything. We didn't know that they'd seen through Aaron's snake oil and were going to get rid of him instead. Chaeix posted... This was a well placed advantage though. It HAD to go to someone on the 8-person tribe which is where it can make the most immediate impact, especially in a 4v4 which is what they got. I will give them credit for awesome game design with this one I also liked how they surprised everyone by having the challenge sit-out go to Island of the Idols instead. Was a nice surprise. If they're going to do a non-idol advantage at one point in the season, it's going to be on an 8-person tribe. Should limit how many appear per season, though. They got really lucky with some of the prior ones, including the first extra vote in Worlds Apart (where Dan Foley playing it spooked Mama C into playing her idol, thus sending Dan to Ponderosa) and the vote stealer in David vs. Goliath. They forget about how many have fizzled and amounted to nada.
