Just for a note to myself here...
The omelet, the noodle dish, and the fried rice can all be added to a recipe book.
(Obviously, the deep-fried cookie dough is not a do again, seeing as it made me sick last night.)

Next up: A pulled pork grilled cheese sandwich. I bought some pulled pork at the store - I don't have the time to be making sure my oven doesn't start on fire for 6+ hours.

...I took care of some things today because concert tomorrow. Played some A Hat in Time (that games never gets old). And vegetated some, too.

Will tell all zero of my readers about the concert come Tuesday. I'm more concerned with getting home by 1:30 as I'd planned... and immediately going to bed. Also, deep dish pizza, yes.

Oh yeah, step total today: 4600. Not too shabby.

13,999 steps yesterday. All I needed was 1300 today. I got it, of course. And then some. That makes it FOURTEEN straight weeks! Just a

The fried cookie dough was disastrous. I made myself sick. It did not turn out well - even though I did have a system that worked pretty well, so the mess to clean up wasn't as bad as it could have been. That's really all I had to say that wasn't a disaster, but alas, this won't be in my recipe book the way the fried rice dish is.

Also, Joe Buck sucks and has completely sapped my enjoyment from the NLCS with his monotone voice and extreme Dodger bias. Why they're trying to only talk from the perspective of the bad guys, I'll never understand. Have the Brewers tried to mow down someone trying to take them out and/or intentionally injure them if they got out? Have the Brewers constantly slammed their bats into the ground like babies? Have the Brewers mocked the other team's celebratory gestures? Didn't think so. And yet... all he talks about is how great the Dodgers are no matter who is up to bat. PLEASE.

...I'm going to game instead.

I had my most productive week at work ever due to the overwhelming demands of volume we received. Somehow, some way... I scanned 66 charts comprising a total of 830 documents and totaling 25" of paper. That is INSANE! I also caught roughly two dozen mistakes others made - ranging from an approval letter that wasn't supposed to be sent to misspelled names and things like that.

15,600 steps yesterday. 10,600 today. Puts the total to 75,400. Pretty damn impressive. Just 4400 to go to get that 80K for the last time in 2018. No way is that happening again with the weather that's coming. Just have to try to get 70K a week... even when I can't walk in the neighborhood due to ice.

Steps yesterday: 11,800. Today: 6000. 72,600 total, so TWELVE weeks in a row, which is insane!

Watching the game so just playing Sims since it's passive. I played a little Xillia earlier. And I got some much-needed rest.

I need to cook soon... let's see... that beef/bacon fried rice dish is still on the agenda. Deep-fried cookie dough balls is another (I'll need to bake the dough for two minutes so it stays in place). I am hungry just thinking about it...

Meh. Not much to report. This sinus crap has made it more difficult to manage my time, but I'm doing what I can.

Steps today: 13,300. Total so far: 42,200. On track!

Survivor was tonight. This season is great so far but I hope it continues. Certainly way better than the abomination that last season was.

No gaming updates. Work has tired me out, but that should stop now that the big Statewide meeting is tomorrow. One that I do not need to go to, for that matter, as it has nothing to do with my role. That's a relief to some extent but kind of sad to another...

I haven't been doing much worth noting tbqh. 10,100 steps yesterday - incredible considering how it rained almost all fucking day. 15,500 today, putting my weekly total so far at 28,900. Pretty good!

Gaming... a little Xillia... a little Skyrim... a little Sims 4 (I think the girl I made is my hottest to date, lemme know if you guys want pics even though she's virtual)...

Sigh...

1300 steps total yesterday to make 11 weeks straight! 3300 today.

Not much else to talk about other than that I'm feeling better. Not 100% yet, mind you, but my sinus headache is dissipating. Still might take the morning off from work tomorrow but I can't afford any more than that right now. Depends on how I feel in the morning.

Meh. I only played a little in the way of games this weekend (including a hankering for Skyrim) and watched one episode of AUS Survivor 2017 (#13, the one where the Tribal Council degenerates only for it to turn out to just be a mutiny, which still somehow managed to be epic, likely only because of how much finger-pointing was going on). So not much really to talk about.

After getting 12,000 steps somehow yesterday - and STILL going to the Adult Swim for two hours before coming home to crash - I only needed 700 today. I got 800. That's quite a lot for someone who is sick and has spent five and a half hours of the day napping.

Yeah, so the wedding didn't happen. My sister understands. Here's hoping the bride (my sister's close friend) does, too. There are only three valid excuses to miss a wedding after an RSVP: 1) personal illness (as in actually sick, which I am), 2) family emergency (death of a relative, discovery of cancer, birth of a child, etc.) or 3) travel issues (canceled flights, weather problems, etc.). So long as it fits one of these categories, it is valid.

Gaming:
Multi-tasking playing Stardew and watching the Badger game. Will get a new farm upload when spring comes and things are in place. I am increasing the amount of crop space, even if just slightly. Will help me get that 10,000,000 goal sooner.

That's it.

Weight loss:
The Topperstix were amazing. And a very necessary reward. I still have some leftovers - since it's BOGO Week, I spent $16 on two triple orders - $21 through their usual deal - and ate way too much. However, I have to enjoy life every once in a while, don't I? So having no control and eating something that delicious, even if it made me sick. You need to do that on occasion - sustenance is impossible if you don't let yourself gain two pounds every once in a while. That said, I ate too much - though not as "too much" as in the past.

Celebration was so necessary. 14,800 steps again yesterday I have met my goal for TEN STRAIGHT WEEKS! That is awesome. Only 1500 today, but I needed to be a slug. Total is 73,300 (was at 69,800 when I overate, but hey, that was locked). Weight gain might be worse given today's lack of activity, but I am fasting again on Monday and trying a new plan. My sister gifted me a tumbler... so maybe I can take a smoothie to work. I can re-lose that weight. It's mind over matter, after all.

If you guys wanted a pic of the 'Stix, btw...
GpvDcT3

Chocolate Baconstix on the left; 3-cheese Garlicstix on the right. Both are incredible. I added cinnamon sugar to the Chocolate Baconstix and it was even more incredible. It was worth it. And it only made me sick because I ate too much. If I get the two singles for $5.99 apiece deal next time... I'll get two meals worth and not break the bank or the calories.

Odd that I'm not in the mood to post a song today...

Before anything else... I'd like to extend my sympathy toward anyone living in the Carolinas and other areas who is affected by Hurricane Florence. I can't imagine how that is - it was bad enough with the flooding here, but it's not the same. It's worse out there. Thoughts and hugs for everyone impacted!

Gaming:
Played some Xillia yesterday. I find it a little odd that I'm controlling Jude for Milla's story. I was completely uncertain how they'd handle Milla's legs being burnt off with this path... but it's this that makes it clear that they should have had one track. The differences so far were just a few additional scenes here and there. And Cline being assassinated was still shown on Milla's story even though she wasn't there to see it. Why can't they show things like Milla's confrontation with Nachitgal on Jude's route if that's the case? It doesn't make sense.

Still infuriates me that Gilland had the audacity to call the party "criminals" when it had murdered an innocent person as a show of power. It was also the one that disobeyed Cline's orders and attacked Sharilton. Nachtigal and Gilland are the criminals - ones who do horrible, horrible things comparable to Nazi Germany. Anyone who defies them is a hero to the people, not a criminal. The evil that is Elympios really does terrible things through the monster that is Gilland. I do hope that, in the sequel, they are treated with contempt by the flourishing Rieze Maxia. They deserve it for trying to invade and murder EVERYONE for no reason but their own gain. If they had instead approached peacefully, then I'd have sympathy for them.

Weight loss:
I am noticing I am eating smaller meals. That's a good thing. Wasn't the case for brunch today - waffles with chocolate chips, Cool Whip, and fruit, plus bacon and pie - but it was brunch. It served as two meals. I'll probably have a snack this afternoon (most likely fruit) and then something like a soft pretzel and a smoothie for dinner. I am going to be smart here.

Step count yesterday was but 3600. I don't care. I got 74,600 on the week and that's stellar. I plan to get another 70,000 this week. That will make it TEN weeks. The aim is to keep this up for as long as possible. The most likely time I will first fail is Thanksgiving. Could be before then. We'll see how things go down. My dad and sister were both sick lately...and I hope nothing of the sort happens with me. My immune system has gotten really strong over the years due to having so much crap. I hope it stays that way. The only time I have taken actual sick leave from work this year was for a mental health day - it was psychosomatic, thus affecting my physical being. I expect that to happen again since I don't have proper vacation at this point. I don't want to go to work just to stare at my computer idly.

Football:
Well, that was awful yesterday. Badgers blew it bigtime through getting arrogant. And we lost to a cupcake we beat the shit out of in THEIR house last year! And THEY got cocky - I developed a strong hatred for the enemy as the game developed. But, uh, yeah, would rather not rant about that. GO PACKERS! Make it up!

Song of the Day:

^5. You have good taste, Tom.

Songs of the Day:
Here's more Lindsey and more Al, then. DOUBLE FEATURE!

Lindsey Stirling feat. Lizzy Hale - Shatter Me

"Weird Al" Yankovic - Like a Surgeon

Weight loss:
Nine weeks complete! I got 6600 steps yesterday, putting my total to 71,000. Awesome!

Fasting was a rousing success. It's best to pair those with a day you're being a slug so long as the necessity isn't your mental health - which you need to eat for. I am so looking forward to only having to do that once a week... but that's a long time off. I have a lot more weight to lose before then. I just have to let myself think I'm hungry, thus teaching my brain that I'm not.

The massage was painful at first but wonderful after that. I had her start with my legs and feet because those were going to be by far the least relaxing. Still sore. At least the rest of it allowed me to relax... it was so nice and so necessary. I need to do one every 3-4 months, possibly more frequently given how much I'm walking now.

Australian Survivor
At the point where seeing people get voted out starts to hurt. I mean, sure, (episode 10 spoilers) Kent wasn't my favorite by any means, but he was interesting. I found the edit pretty baffling, however - he had to sit out of the reward challenge due to back issues and was pushed to puzzle duty despite being their bulkiest guy in a challenge where they needed that bulk due to those issues, yet they were considering keeping him for challenge strength? The what? That's ultimately why Anneliese refused to bite, I think. I liked Kent, so it's unfortunate and all... but really, this entire cast is stellar. The next episode is the Super Idol one. More time with this awesome crew. Wouldn't mind seeing several of these people play again - by all means a better group than S1, where the only people who should be considered for a return are Nick, Flick, Phoebe, Kristie, Andrew, and Craig. MAYBE Jenna-Louise. With this group... you have, in alphabetical order, AK, Anneliese, Henry, Jarrad, Jericho, Locky, King Luke, Michelle, Sarah, and Tess. And MAYBE Tara, even if she's not really that great of a villain (she's really just a whiner). If you throw in someone gone early like ...Tarzan..., that's HALF the cast!

No gaming yesterday. Will resume NG+ of Xillia today. Need to get to Xillia 2 also... and then do a playthrough of either FF13, Suikoden, or KOTOR prob. Not feeling the idea of playing Berseria right after Xillia.

No gaming updates.

Weight Loss:
My dad taking me to the football game today - I only found out yesterday afternoon - was the very boon I needed to complete my goal once again. EIGHT weeks in a row at 70,000 or more steps! My step totals on the week were:
Sun: 7500
Mon: 1800
Tue: 12,200
Wed: 11,500
Thu: 17,100
Fri: 12,600
Sat: 11,700

Got a lot of walking in, but came home and passed out immediately. I am exhausted. Tomorrow is going to be a slug day - I am going to do NOTHING and if somebody asks me to, they will be fined. I need that for my mental health right now. That said, the weather has been phenomenal, so I'll probably go out and walk a little. Hopefully we won't get more rain for another year!

Song of the Day:
Something that gave me 140 steps today...

House of Pain - Jump Around!

As most of you aren't familiar with Madison traditions... here:

I lasted longer than I ever have with the actual jumping. In the past, I'd have to keep my feet planted. I suppose that's what all those steps are doing!

(Lindsey will be tomorrow, promise.)

Xillia's final boss took me all of 6 minutes and 6 seconds - a FIFTH of the time it took me the first time. Hah.

Starting new playthrough tonight (Milla route).

Weight Loss
Tomorrow is a day off, but I still intend to get under 800 calories. It will be easier to access fruit for when I am hungry but much harder to control myself whenever I am not in my room. Mind over matter. I need to do this so my stomach can shrink again and I can go back to losing weight. I have been so naughty as of late and thus the results aren't showing. I can't undo my progress now!

I got 7500 steps today - not bad considering the humidity and then rain. The city will flood, however, so that will make it very, very difficult for me to go anywhere. We don't need any rain for the next year or so. WHY DO WE KEEP GETTING SOME!

Song of the Day:
The Temptations - Cloud Nine

Another quickie! Sorry about that.

Gaming:
Played a little Breath of the Wild in the car today. Meh. Still find it to have an underpopulated world that's way too sparse with things to do. If I had time, I'd probably start up Skyrim again, since at least that has something to find if you go somewhere every 5 minutes. A wasteland like BotW isn't fun because... there's a real world out there. I'm not playing video games to explore virtual nature. I'm playing video games to do shit I can't do in real life.

A little Xillia at the end of the day but not much. I fought the Golden Mage Knight Guy again, so not the final boss but still a sufficient fight. I will probably fight the final boss again tomorrow and finally start another playthrough after that - one that will only have the goal to beat the game with everyone at level 99 (the max).

Weight loss:
I ate way too much for lunch today and I am going to regret it tomorrow.

However, cause to celebrate: After somehow getting 5,000 today... I got 80,100 total steps this week! How I did that is beyond me. That makes seven straight at 70,000+. I hope I can continue that uninterrupted until Thanksgiving. Four-day weekends tend to make it really difficult, especially in winter (to me, "winter" is the entirety of Daylight Wasting Time - which I hope they get rid of so we save daylight year-round. Why get rid of the idiotic concept, only to have it get dark at 8 pm in summer when it's light at 4:30 am? Makes no sense.).

That's it for today. No song - taking a break for today. New update tomorrow or Monday, not sure yet.

Quick updates!
I might not be able to post anything tomorrow, so yeah. I'll also probably only get 2,000 steps. No matter there - I got 12,800 today, increasing my total to 75,100. In six days. Incredible! Tomorrow is not only a day I'll mostly spend in the car or sitting around complaining about having nothing to do but also the ideal day to take off from overworking my legs. I'll need to go for additional walks on Sunday and Monday - it will be more difficult to keep the streak alive with a holiday.

I will probably play a little Sims and/or Stardew tonight with the game on in the background. Badgers are playing some Western Kentucky team. As long as we don't come in cocky, we'll have no problem here. But... IT'S COLLEGE FOOTBALL SEASON! And there's no stupidly-worded helmet rules, either.

Convention Update: Saturday & Sunday (2/2)
I did nothing in Tabletop - not really ideal for a solo person who doesn't already do it to try it in that setting. I didn't bother with any of the viewings since I can watch stuff on the Internet when I want to. I got lynched on Day One in a game of Werewolf because I pointed out two guys talking privately. The werewolves jumped on me and I had to vote for myself as Village Idiot. This plus my experiences here at B8 make it pretty clear that Mafia and its relatives are not for me.

What I'm most happy about is my ability to talk to people, especially women. I was far more openly social and was chatting it up with whoever. Didn't ask any to coffee or anything (the four reasons were: moving, not from here, married, and boyfriend) but how am I supposed to know those things until I start up a conversation? My confidence is way up and that's huge for a nerd like me.

The bad thing was that certain parts weren't well-managed, but it's hard to do that properly. I remember there was an "open to the public" meeting a few months ago. I asked on the Facebook event page where it was and got no response. It most certainly was not inside the P.O. Box that was the listed address. It seemed from the head geek's notes in the program that he expected things to align on their own as he did things. They don't. Everything was fine despite that - they just needed more accessibility to management, more panels, and not having the best panels up against each other.

The most memorable thing was that Belly Laugh Theater panel and making the movie alongside. It'll come out at this convention next year. Things like that rarely happen so publicly around here so it was great to be a part of the movie and mingle with the cast and crew, however small and indie.

Step count was 6900 yesterday, so yes, I got my 70K again. Happy about that, too.

On the overall, if you want to get the most from a convention, do whatever unique things it has to offer. In my case, I was getting involved with them movie to the point that I ignored much of what was going on in the main programming hall, because they oddly had the best of the few panels at the same time as the big events like the masquerade and the MC Chris concert.

Did I get my money's worth? 100%. If you go to a convention, mingle. Break out of your shell. Have fun. Don't just stay in one place. That's my advice. I plan to make a collage with stuff from this because I had such a good time and I have the goodies to do it...

If you want to AMA about the con, ask away!

Convention Update - Saturday & Sunday (1/2)
It goes without saying: I had a phenomenal weekend that was probably my best ever, en bloc, at any convention ever. Perhaps this is largely due to my growth as a person since I started attending them four years ago.

The best part: The guests were wonderful.
Other cons I've been to have tried to put a barrier between guests and attendees, ignoring whatever guests request and do what they feel is "traditional" and "accepted." This one did not. The guests of honor were one with the attendees - it was an intimate setting (this convention is usually 1500-2000 people) and boy, did it help. I actually felt like I got to know the guests because that's what they wanted out of this - it's more than wanting to be known for a voice.

I say this not just because of direct interactions with them but the panels they did do outside of filming the movie. They were more intimate panels that were more open Q&A, explaining a hobby, or showing a homemade biopic about a sibling with Down Syndrome. Or the Michael Winslow stand-up routine, which was more mindblowing than funny because of the guy's incredible ability for impressions and sound effects. I do wonder if Jeff Nimoy asked him to be in the movie, however.

The REALLY funny part was the Lex Lang-hosted "Belly Laugh Theater" - I have not laughed continuously like that for AGES. All the impressions they did in reading edited scripts for things like Dragon Ball (a lot of "ball" and "pole" jokes in constantly changing impressions, many from Jonathan Fahn), The Wizard of Oz ("OIL CAN! OIL CAN!" was particularly hysterical from Brian Donovan), and Naruto (Margo Graff's "sensei" was particularly memorable - as was their inability to pronounce anything, in part due to laughter). There was also one with Allison Powell being "nanny" as an older British lady (despite her being younger than me!). The rest was Whose Line type improv games, some which were taken too literally like "Superheroes" ("Black Dress Girl" for Nikki Boyer was all he could think of? xD), some which were absurd (making dildos at the glue factory - Allison's fake "can't talk straight" accent there omg). I blew my first on-the-spot opportunity but made up for it with my dad's "liver bit pancakes" joke later (for "Helping Hands"). I have not laughed like that in eons. Even got a selfie after all was said in done with most of them.

This is why I go to conventions. That panel was something else. The other improv ones were fun, too - but those were not professionals at work. Sadly, there weren't many other panels to offer - and I don't know if that's because they didn't get many submitted or because they rejected so many. It kind of saddens me to see some people talking negatively about this con, but I feel they didn't try to get the most out of their experience. I did. I wasn't focused on StreetPass games the way I was at my first one in 2014. I mean, sure, I played them for a while when I needed to just do something to relax, but what's the point when you've mostly cleared them?

I didn't use the video game room anywhere near as much, either. I can play video games at any time. I did play on the arcade machines (again, an arcade is a sponsor at this convention) a bit but I only rented out Heavenly Sword for PS3. I gave up when the cannon-target game ended poorly for me three times in a row due to the game not having a reasonable recognition distance and requiring you to hit a bulls-eye. And that was quite early, too. Shows me why I don't own it!

Convention Update - Friday:
I am pretty exhausted right now and intend to rest for the huge day that is Saturday at a convention but thought I'd drop by to post a quick update.

1. Yes, there was Pocky. Yes, I think I ate too much. Will have to control myself better these next two days.

2. AMKE is $40 for a weekend pass even six months before the thing. Why have convention prices gone up so much? It's like all of them are rapidly increasing. Makes me question whether or not it's worth it (especially as someone who doesn't cosplay... yet. I want to lose more weight first).

3. There's really not much else that interests me in the Vendor Hall. I like all my fan art commissioned - whether it's me or someone else doing the ordering. I am choosy with what I hang on my walls and would rather not do something that I don't LOVE, y'know? I have enough here already and need to get something Leia for inking. Don't need more things to clean, either.

4. In the video game room, I tried to play Luigi's Mansion but the disc was damaged beyond repair so I settled on Shadow Hearts: Covenant. I played that for about an hour until plot stuff picked up and I went "Screw this, I can't hear a thing in here." because of the loud electronic music and everything else going on. Nicolai being a bad guy was totally predictable and that might have been from when I played the game briefly long ago - or it might have been because he looks like the cliche snobbish "prince" villain (think Rufus Shinra). It did not surprise me. I liked the action wheel and the graphics are amazing for the time, but 1) I should play the first game first, if I can find it, and 2) it wasn't a good time for immersion. When I go there tomorrow, I intend to play games that aren't RPGs - as that was my main worry about playing one of those.

I also played Turtles in Time on an arcade machine but couldn't get more lives (it's free - a local arcade is a sponsor partner of this convention) and got a Game Over. Oh wells. I'll try again, probably. Takes me back to being a young kid at Chuck E. Cheese...

5. There were a lot of things happening and I'm sure you'll see more when the movie comes out. Panels were pretty sparse, sadly - they didn't get as many this year.(even those not hosted by guests, but the guests I get because of the movie). Only one I went to was a "Whose Line Is It Anime?" one - I've attended these with the group that does them at several different cons (they do it at both this one and my November one) - and it was funny as always. I even contributed a little and incited a huge laugh from the crowd. You had to be there, though.

I'm not going to be able to give such an update tomorrow but I thought I'd do that now while I am decompressing and coming down off my Pocky rush.

Oh yes, step count: 8300. I'm at 67,500 total. I shall have zero problem making this six straight weeks. ^_^

But for now, good night guys.

I will be heading to the convention immediately after lunch, so here's to a fun day! Quick updates...

Gaming:
Xillia: Defeated the Golden Mage Knight - the spirit behind Lilium Orbs and, well... a lot of things. It was a long fight, but I took care of him. This unlocked the Devil's Arms, which now have ridiculous power and I can steamroll pretty much any fight. I've done a lot of exploring, sidequesting, and trophy hunting. My next go won't be anywhere near this long. Need 6700 Grade for my budget... have 6450. Going to max out the Food Vendor (the others are done) and get Elize to level 99. Healer's Reward + Spicy Chicken Rolls + Encounter Links = a crap ton of EXP. She'll get there in no time.

Weight Loss:
Calorie counting yesterday didn't go overly well, but that's okay. I'm on vacation now. I can treat myself for a little, provided I don't let it spiral back to the way it was. Oh, and my step count? 17,200 ^_^

That ridiculous day puts me at 59,200 on the week. Add the 1800 so far today and that's 61,000. Looks like a guarantee I'll make it - but I'll go out of my way just to make sure. Not going to go out of my way for anything else at the convention except bumping my topics.

Song of the Day:
Apropos stuff.

"Weird Al" Yankovic - White & Nerdy

One more note: The flooding here is horrific. We're getting MORE rain that we can't hold. That may present a problem... will keep you posted. I don't think I'll be as bad off as many other people in the area are. My heart goes out to them...

Gaming:
Finally got that elusive achievement in Xillia! Going after the final boss tonight, most likely. Been waiting too long.

Weight loss:
Was unable to weigh myself this morning. Step count yesterday was 8000 even, putting my total at 75,500 - a personal best, I believe. Well, an ACCURATE personal best. My 3DS is wonky with whether it's accurate or not. My phone is much more reliable - I get free steps on the bus but that makes up for the ones it doesn't count, usually in my bedroom or in my office (the two places where I spend the most time).

Have not been eating that healthily today but I don't care. We had a special brunch with my sister and brother-in-law so I can cheat. Then, tomorrow... 800 calories or less, to make up for it. Only worry right now is acid reflux - I can feel it in my esophagus. It'll get better as I lose more weight. For now, I'll suppress it with omeprazole/Prilosec (I had to buy it over-the-counter for a much more expensive price than I'd get it in a prescription; my doctor thought to prescribe it thinking my frequent coughs were caused by excess acid. He was right.)

Song of the Day:
This is from a PM conversation with one of my friends on the site who may or may not be reading this...

Paul Simon - Graceland

Catchy, timeless pop that sounds nothing like what you'd expect from the mid-80s.

That's it! I've been busy checking boxes instead of doing things that are worth talking about in here. Next weekend will be different: It's convention time!

Gaming:
Played Xillia for like a half hour before my dad wanted to watch some Australian Survivor. Only ran around a bit, getting a few more loot harvest points. Getting close enough where I can just go kill the final boss and get the rest in the final dungeon.

That's it. I think I might've booted up Sims and experimented with alternative hairstyles for no reason but that's what you get when you're tired on a Friday.

Weight loss:
Step count yesterday was 12,200, putting my total at 67,000. As I already have 3600 today from getting stuff done (grocery shopping, paying off my bed, exploring a closing store, laundry, hosing down the dirty recycling bin, etc.), this marks five straight weeks of 70,000+ steps! That's pretty remarkable. Given how that's improving my heart rate and I'm eating less overall food - smaller meals, portion control, no excess, under 1000 calories twice a week, etc. - my weight is looking good. It's another half-pound down as of this morning. Counting calories is so helpful. Walking a lot is even more helpful. Strengthening my core via yoga is also "beneficerary." But unlike that guy, I'm NEVER going to smile at every one of my abs individually in a mirror, even once I can see them.

Song of the Day:
Let's just relax for a bit.

Kelly Clarkson - Catch My Breath

I'm going to try not to duplicate artists too frequently, but I can't help but do multiples of my favorites.

Other things:
AUS Survivor: Last year's season still. I mean, this is one of the best seasons ever. What transpired at the Samatau trainwreck was beautiful - AK went from being the clear first boot to a critical member of the alliance and now he's establishing his foothold of running the show. And Tessa's playing hardball with Tara at Tribal was incredible. At the end of it all, Tarzan flipping his vote to ensure Tessa stayed and Kate (one of three duds in this group, alongside Odette and first boot Joan) went home. Kate was the only person in this cast of 24 who I couldn't pick out of a lineup before this rewatch - she was so forgettable. Also, Henry is a moron for trying to throw a challenge this early. You NEVER do that! You only throw a challenge either when you have a huge numbers advantage and want to take someone out to unify your tribe through a vote OR after a swap when you have a majority on your tribe and your ally is in trouble on the other tribe - you get rid of someone who'd never be with you and protect someone who is with you. Just Survivor 101 there.

Not much else to report. Buying a lot of things for my move - the collection is certainly coming along. The more I get now, the less I'll have to get later. It's a process!

Xillia: Haven't done much. Just a few odds and ends. Why must the Dark Wings be such a lame ripoff of the ones from Abyss? It's not an homage if it's that lame, you know.

Steps: 4300 yesterday - so I got over 70,000 for the fourth consecutive week! ^_^

Eating: Was fine. Only had an order of cheese curds (Wisconsin's state appetizer), a root beer, and a single scoop of ice cream at the ballgame. Did not overindulge in the slightest like I have been known to do. I would estimate my calorie count above 2,500 though, but that's fine to do once every two weeks

Song: Not today. Sorrys.

...sorry for the brief update but that's all I really have to say right now.

Just doing Coliseum cleanup duty in Xillia. About time I went back there to take care of it. I don't like that you can fall off the edge - I died cheaply several times where I got ragdolled and/or my own artes took me off there. I hate it because it makes it more about the skill of not falling off as opposed to the skill of being able to use the character in a typical battle setting. It's less fun if you're trying to be more mindful of where you are on the battlefield so none of that stuff happens. It's atypical. I've only cleared it with Leia and have cleared the Beginner Group. The unfair Advanced Group final fight with the Chimeriad is pretty brutal - I mean, they can get Overlimit every ten seconds, while it takes me MINUTES to fill my gauge... I popped the pimple first (can't stand to hear it talk, can summon lackeys, lowest HP), and once it burst the others started falling. They abused Mystic Artes A LOT, though, because the design is bad. How can they do that when the party can only get one off in a typical battle? I would have greatly preferred a cameo battle, to be honest.

For sidequests, all I've done since are the ones with Prinn (finding out that Gaius personally told her that Agria/Nadia was dead) and Driselle (attacking Fort Gandala again to get rid of the golems and re-open the Fennmont trade route so Sharilton doesn't go bankrupt). That's it. I might find more that skits don't point me to along the way. Going to need to find a few more to get another elusive title.

Weight loss:
I got 11,200 steps yesterday! Total is 66,300 on the week now. Even though I'm yet to take a walk today due to taking two consecutive naps, I should be fine. My dad and I scored free tickets to an amateur baseball game thanks to a co-worker of mine, so that'll get me 3,000 steps easily. I will make sure that it does.

Here's my version of the pizza (compare to the top of the page - that picture IS accurate, unlike something from the mega-chains):

This is just... what?!

The truth. Have you not heard about her comments about white people? About the "Go back to Pakistan" one, too? Bayleigh is a privileged spoiled brat and a very unpleasant person.

I didn't like Rockstar pulling the "straight white male privilege" card on Brett but aside from that one moment she is so entertaining and Brett is a boring, mean-spirited try-hard.

She's said shit like that multiple times. Once someone offends me, it's hard for me to ever like them again. Rockstar labels people and judges them by those labels and I despise judgmental people like that.

I agree. Before this week Angela was just obnoxiously boring, that is, trying so hard to be relevant when she's clearly not. But after this week she's just plain horrible.

Case in point. I thought I was going to like Angela but nope. Angela had no reason to give a goodbye message like that. It's not beneficerary to her game at all and it's pretty clear to everyone that she's cold. Or it SHOULD be. She lost a friend for life when all she needed to do in her goodbye message was say "Sorry girl, it hurt to do this, but once you reacted like that, I had no choice. You put my game in jeopardy and I had to do what's best for me. I look forward to coming to Vegas for a sleepover sometime. Love you!" Then she'd have earned the praise the fans are giving her (which makes me sick). She's willing to sacrifice a friend to improve her game, but not at expense of managing relationships.

I really think there is a cultural barrier with JC. I know some of the outrageous things he has said on live feeds but I really think he just doesn't get it. He doesn't seem like a mean-spirited person and he's said/done plenty of funny, lighthearted things in the edit.

"Are you a real girl?" "Open up your vagina, it feels good." and using the n-word instead of "n-word" are all things he should have known would make people uncomfortable. Bayleigh also used "the m-word" in the same context and thought it was fine. Bayleigh is a hypocrite. JC is just... different. I don't think he realizes how people get offended by such intimate things like those first two quotes.

Fessy is hilarious and his complete ineptitude at the game (his creepiness being a part of that) is one of the highlights of the season so far.

Yeah, it is. Still makes me a bit uncomfortable. He's not that much worse than Brett, who at least has epic speeches (even if he is a dick)

The only hate-worthy people in BB20 are Brett, Angela, and mayyybe Sam. The rest range from fucking stars to harmless if boring.

Uh... Bayleigh and Rockstar are both Class-A bigots and are horrible people. Bayleigh is a Black Supremacist racist. Rockstar's extremely privileged yet accused Brett of being something he's not by labeling him based on him being a white male. Both are hypocrites and bigots.

Have you seen some of the shit JC has said?

What Angela did to Rachel was downright deplorable and I'm still not happy about that. HORRIBLE to treat a friend like that... when Rachel was nothing but honest.

And Fessy is a creep, even if he's hysterically bad at BB and everyone knows it.

All of them are worse than Brett or Samantha.

I'm just sad that Xillia is coming to an end. Aside from battling a lot, I viewed the pre-final battle scenes between the party members. Elize seems to have... forgiven Alvin because she feels sorry for him being a lone wolf, apparently. One thing that's so fascinating about her character is that, at the start, Teepo did most of the talking. Now Elize is the dominant talker. They grow up so fast! It was nice to see that Rowen had no indecision whatsoever - usually, it's "Oh no, what am I going to do? Ok, I'll just go with you." I knew everyone was going to join the fight. I mean, come on. It makes sense that Leia's the one who's struggling with deciding, given her age and whatnot. But her crush on Jude (which was obvious even if it was one of the lesser storylines) is motivating her. And her struggle with what she wants to do with her life if he really is better off without her is REAL. At the point in my life I'm at, I couldn't relate to this more (is my crush on Leia obvious? xD, she's not a real person, sadly...).

I forget what Jude and Milla talked about before Gaius showed up to acknowledge what was about to happen and give them Muzet's knife so they can travel between dimensions. I remember after that about the schism disappearing means that Maxwell and the Temporal Crossroads where we fought him disappear, too... and that might also mean Milla disappears. This love triangle where Jude likes Milla and Leia likes Jude is interesting for that reason: Leia is going to let Jude do his own thing but that thing can't be with Milla. It's dramatic. I also like how the final boss here isn't evil or psychotic, he just has a different goal and different philosophy. He's not an idealist and I can understand his take on things. If spyrites aren't going to be a sufficient replacement, however... I lean more toward his side. The "Department of Otherworld Affairs" wants to commit genocide to preserve Elympios, after all. I cannot sympathize with such cruel, savage people who don't realize what it is they're doing. Gilland, however, DID know. Balan doesn't, but is nothing like his father.

I'm going to play through a second time tbqh. I have the necessary Grade (4410 or so) and a strong motivation to play Milla's path at least once. Seems that Jude's is preferred since it has much more of the game in it.

Weight loss:
I got 8,000 steps yesterday! Impressive given that it was a Saturday with way too much humidity. That puts my total at 71,200 across last week. Stoked about that and am aiming for a repeat performance this week.

I also had 4.5 slices of a 12" pizza. Down from 5. Hoping to go to 4 with the next pizza and keep it there for two months before trying to go down to 3, my intended amount. I chose a healthier option for dinner - make-my-own smoothie. Trying to save money by buying various frozen fruits, apple juice, and Greek yogurt as opposed to the $3 mixes. I think I spent like $15 and that should give me 8+ smoothies. Definite improvement.

Will cook that pasta dish tonight.

Song of the Day:
this gives me all the feels:

Other things:
Anyone who hasn't participated in Save My RPG should!

I should finish the finale (but not the reunion) of Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains today. It's going slower since I'm watching with my dad. Also need to catch up on BB20, even if I hate most of the people in the house right now for one reason or another.

Not much else.

I like having discussion like this - that's what this topic is for! ^_^

Gaming:
Played Xillia a bit last night. Nothing significant happened - just battles and Jude saying he's not returning to Rieze Maxia so long Gaius's ideals are alive. That's not significant, thought. It's too standard to be.

Also, how badly do I need to get Octopath Traveler? I haven't played my Switch in the past month and a half...

Weight loss:
Super happy with my weight this morning! I've lost five pounds since starting this topic. #wow

Step count yesterday was a compensation for my day off Thursday. My goal was to get enough to get 20,000 across two days. I succeeded. So 15,900 yesterday ^_^

Sunday: 1600
Monday: 12,800
Tuesday: 16,600
Wednesday: 12,100
Thursday: 4200
Friday: 15,900
Total so far: 63,200

Suddenly that third consecutive week of 70,000 is looking mightily doable.

Song of the Day:
This was the plan before the conversation yesterday (I have the next two picked out too):

Simply because it's the best Bond song and anyone who says otherwise is wrong. Carole Bayer-Sager penned one hell of a lyrical gem here. It describes the character of James Bond perfectly, both his abilities as a spy and with the ladies. And Carly sings it perfectly. Really the only one that beats Goldfinger - while that's also definitive, it describes a one-off antagonist and only fits with that movie as opposed to the franchise as a whole. "Nobody Does It Better" is perfect to describe any movie in the series.

Other things:
Cooking: I didn't get that slice of FMTB yesterday. They were all out of the ingredients. One of the employees said it's been selling like mad to the point she hasn't even gotten a chance to try it. They advertise the HELL out of this slice because it's so freaking good. So I'm going to vigilante this and make one at home. Going to buy a frozen pizza dough at the store today and get my own tomatoes, basil, and cheese at the farmer's market on Wednesday (only the mozzarella will be the exact same). Might even make it that night. My pizza stone needs some love anyway. Still want to make noodles with that black pepper cheese tonight. The roll of meat I found in the freezer was a bacon sausage. That will work, too. I owe my parents some of that since last night they brought me home bacon-wrapped kielbasa (polish sausage). That stuff was so good. And it's not hard to do.

Moving out: I continue to amass more stuff for my flat. I don't want to forget so many things that I rack up a $100 bill at Target. I want to slowly accrue my necessities since the move-out isn't until my usual mid-December week off from work. I am going to miss free food but I'm not going to miss my mom using Fox News as a tactic to keep my dad and I at bay. We do not appreciate that. At least my mom has realized that Sean Hannity is obnoxious. About damn time - I've been saying that for years!

Don't think I have anything else to touch on! Anyone have ideas?

Dragging Morgan and Nat into this = making it personal. You should know by now that I am highly protective of them both and see you dragging them through the mud as extremely personal. You brought them up to put me on edge. It did not work and only serves to make you look awful.

YOU are the one who acts like your opinions are objective facts. You do realize I was making fun of you with my "objective" statements, right? If it's someone I respect and their opinion factually makes sense, I will accept it. In your case, I have no respect for you (never have, never will) and your stance does not fall in line with the facts of the season. There is a reason you are a minority on this.

I am done with you. This is NOT productive, ESPECIALLY when you want to make things personal like that.

The fact that you cannot understand how someone else might find someone or something "interesting" that you don't merits absolutely zero respect. You think there is only one way to see something and that is why I'll never have any respect for you.

Maybe YOU should rewatch it and realize that, much like your Cook Islands write-up, it's a bland season that doesn't hold up a second time around, because once you know all the blindsides that are gonna happen, the characters are flat and not worth investing it.

I watched most of its episodes twice because I enjoyed it so much. I know what I'm talking about.

You're the one who needs to rewatch it.

When it comes to MvGX, yes. My opinions are objectively wrong.

I mean, it's good that you can at least admit that.

Rewatch the dang season and you'll see.

One, Million Dollar Gamble was interesting. Two, you like how the cast was nice and enjoying themselves all season long and were bestest buddies at the end. These two statements are contradictory.

I get it, only your opinions are valid and nobody else can find things "interesting" for reasons other than you do.

Nick blindside, Debbie blindside, Scot blindside all early merge. And the medevacs didn't stop anyone from playing. People were still working angles and strategizing. "Playing the game" isn't just blindsides and voting and "live tribal councils".

Debbie stopped playing and that cost her. And yes, the MedEvacs stopped people from playing, because it forced them to. They were thinking about plans but couldn't execute on them.

It's a generic fucking title that could apply to MANY moments that carried more emotional weight than Jessica Lewis picking a rock. I'll take Scot Pollard, who had an idol and knew he was in danger, not playing the idol because he thought Tai would give up HIS idol to make for a super idol, a far bigger gamble, and one that was far more interesting as well.

This is literally not worth replying to because you don't seem to understand my point. THE ENTIRE REMAINING CAST put their lives on the line. How does it get more interesting than that? It's certainly a bigger gamble overall than Scot's and while Scot's blindside is far and away the best moment of Kaoh Rong, the stakes weren't anywhere near as high.

Honestly, your write-up barely has anything in common with MvGX, aside from the negatives about the forced theme.

I stopped reading there because it's objectively wrong. It's clear that you didn't even watch the season.

One of my favorite things about this season is the camaraderie among I'll say the final 11. Regardless of what side they were on, they all just seemed like they were having fun playing together. Nowhere is this more evident than Jay's reaction to being blindsided.

Yeah, this is another reason I like it so much. That was missing from the three seasons since. It was a joy to watch them because they were enjoying themselves that much. I like it way better when people are happy to be there... and then of course a bitter juror or two that has a normal emotional reaction to a vicious blindside.

Oh I don't care about episode titles (except for "I Can Forgive Her But I Don't Have To Because She Screwed With My Chickens"). Million Dollar Gamble, for example, is generic enough to apply to dozens of instances across the show's long history.

My, you really do have no knowledge of the show. The "Million Dollar Gamble" as a title refers to the rock draw in MvX and that alone.

Never stopped playing the game, check.

How soon we forget a few early merge votes... and how the MedEvacs really FORCED them to stop playing.

Million dollar gamble, Scot fucking FAILED check.

Objectively wrong. The "Million Dollar Gamble" did not happen in Kaoh Rong and for you to say it did means you have zero appreciation for Survivor history.

Intimately personal winner, checkaroonie.

Not at all.

I'll give you the "interesting bunch" but that's the only thing my write-up for MvX has in common with Kaoh Rong.

You can't really bash Kaoh Rong for still being in when it literally fits the description of your positive MvGX write-up, minus the "the theme was overbearing" talk.

Uh, what? I don't follow that at all, simply because my write-up does not describe Kaoh Rong in the slightest.

"Objectively" means "no matter how you look at it."

It's at minimum 3 spots too low, but it should be even higher than that. Yes, I realize it's "the top of the bottom half" at 19 but I hate that a season that good is so low. This list has lost all credibility. How the hell are the likes of Kaoh Rong, SJDS, and uh.... what's the whole list looking like right now?

I'm taking the day off from work. Boy, do I need it. I literally couldn't bring myself downstairs this morning. I am burned out badly. Going to work would have just led me to sit with zombie eyes at my computer screen and not get anything done. Thus, I feel it's best to take a sick day and just take it as easy as possible.

Gaming:
Did not play Xillia yesterday. Only thing to add is that the name of this "Abyss" makes it highly probable that the miasma is Anise's fault. Everything is Anise's fault. She's the biggest strike against an otherwise phenomenal game. I'm happy to see the world's most blatant Abyss reference here because it makes me love Xillia more. We'll take care of this miasma.

Weight loss:
I did not control my calorie-counting yesterday because of all the things that were happening. The World's Largest Cheese Board was three blocks from my work - a guy from Guinness was there to recognize the record and everything. That was pretty cool. But overall, I didn't overdo it. And even though I have today off, I will restrain myself.

Step count yesterday was 12,100, putting my total to 43,100 on the week. With today off, however, it is doubtful I will get to 70,000 overall. Will try, but I don't want to push myself too hard. That's also unhealthy.

Song of the Day:
As for the band I mentioned above, well... they might not be what you were expecting: A pop/rock/folk trio with a focus on harmony vocals and meaningful lyrics. This is basically their signature song:

Other things:
Cooking: The cheeses I acquired from the cheese board - which were free with a donation - were both from Sartori, which is a premium cheesemaker that seems to win all kinds of awards. I was able to score a (1.5 oz) wedge of Black Pepper Bella-Vitano. This will certainly be a useful ingredient in cooking. I'll have to think of something, but I'm thinking it'll go really well in a beef noodle dish. Perhaps I can just fry up a half pound of beef - I might have something of the sort buried in the freezer. The focus will be on the noodles here. I don't want too much meat because I'm trying to lose weight.

The latest girl I asked out had a boyfriend even though she made it blatantly clear that she was interested in me. No mistaking it. A fixated look like that will convince ANY guy of interest.

That's hysterical and presumptuous.

Gaming:
I played Xillia for a bit last night but got owned by Devil's Beasts multiple times, even with food boosters. I really do think this "point of no return" is endgame, even without Milla in the active party. I also need to figure out where the other two beasties are - please don't tell me. I want to deduce that myself. I only had chance encounters with two of them and two NPCs' word to go on. There definitely isn't a second one on Leronde's island... and I would think there's one somewhere near Fennmont. I'll play a little more starting shortly I've taken other things off my to-do list, thankfully! (Still have to clean some more tomorrow...)

Weight Loss:
Step counts:
Sunday: 4700
Monday: 11,500
Tuesday: 14,100
Wednesday: 11,200
Thursday: 11,800
Friday: 11,900
Saturday: 5300
Total: 70,500! ^_^

I am trying to ration portions as best as possible, too. That is not easy! I feel I did a slightly better job of it today than I have been. It's all about slowly whittling it down.

Cooking: This is more "baking" but I made a Jell-O Oreo dessert - the box kind. It was an impulse buy thinking it'd be a quick, easy thing to do sometime and it took me long enough to do it. I had one piece that was like a tenth of the entire 8x8 pan. The serving size is a SIXTH of that. You guys would be proud that I controlled myself more. That's been the trend lately. I'm taking smaller portions, eating out less, and am trying to have overall smaller dinners. One step at a time!

Survivor:
Watched another episode of Heroes vs. Villains, one that's kind of a blur to me because it's the one where Amanda gets voted out after completely having a lapse in her sanity and looking like a cold-blooded murderer in trying to get the idol clue. She deserved it, but not so soon because Candice is a fucking moron who flipped from 4th to 6th for no reason at all. I'm taking it okay, of course - I am long over that whole thing because this episode was the first glimpse into who Amanda eventually became. Even those who don't watch the show will remember Amanda as my ex-future ex-wife, so yeah.
