I can't even remember what the gameplay was like, my entire memory of playing the demo was wanting that bloody cat thing to shut the hell up, and possibly get flayed alive. I'm enjoying XV though. I kind of feel like I'm missing out on mechanics I should be using but haven't been explained well (the same problem that hurt FFXIII until it threw up a brick wall that forced me to learn how its battle system actually worked), but overall it's enjoyable enough. It helps that I basically got it free by trading in cheap games from charity shops for sizeable profits (although I do somewhat regret not getting DQ73D instead.
