My first node with triple planars had 3 DEF orbs and 1 DEF rope for Acheron.

"Purest of materia... With pain and spite made black." Maybe it also explains how the clear Materia turns into a Black Materia for Cloud in the end.

I left both the Party Animal and Final protorelic quest for postgame. Any incomplete green quests will be reset though, so if you like did the Colosseum part of Party Animal already, you'll have to do it again.

I really believe Aerith in the final cutscene is just Cloud being manipulated. Could be just bad directing, but I didn't feel like she was behaving like real Aerith at all. Also mentioned Meteor out of nowhere.

Also wanna say the final line about the sky in Remake was probably changed because it wasn't about leaving under Midgar but about the freaking rifts in the sky.

In the og, after the boat ride between Junon and Costa, I don't think you see Heidegger again until like Northern Crater where all the directors show up. He just doesnt do much after the parade.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Chapter 6 complete!

Costa Del Sol was pretty fun! I enjoyed getting to cruise around town on a Segway. I dominated at the Fall Guys soccer game with Red XIII. I had to turn off the adaptive trigger during the rifle shooting game because it was straining my fingers trying to rapid fire. The Queen's Blood variant here was pretty neat, and I think it helped me understand the game some more.

All the stuff on the beach was great. Even Johnny got to have his one shining moment when Yuffie uses him to kinda sorta save the day. The Hojo conversation was pretty good, and then the follow-ups with everyone on the beach afterward were great, too, especially Aerith's. I wonder if she's being literal when she's talking about her future self because she definitely knows something about the Whispers and the alternate timeline that the rest of the party doesn't. I do think it's neat that she and Red XIII can confide in each other. She can talk through her problems, and he can use his real teenage voice instead of the gruff voice he uses around everyone else to make himself seem more mature. Also I thought it was cool that they did a version of the Yuffie recruitment scene from the original, although I imagine she doesn't steal from you and run off if you pick the wrong option this time!

Oh yeah, who did you help on the beach fight? And what beachwear did you pick?

I guess the one thing is, when it's about to be the Eye's turn, you hold Acheron's ult, wait for the Eye to advance all enemies, then immeadiately unleash the ult.

Holy shit. I had given up on the previous Pure Fiction cus I got no follow up attackers. But Acheron, with the buff to turn ults knto follow ups, just helped me get full stars like it was nothing. Her ult builds up the gimmick damage from 0 to 100% cus each hit counts.

I love the way Hojo just says to Cloud "So you heard the call too"

Btw I didn't use it but I swear I saw in some cutscenes between phases, there's a subtle prompt in the bottom left to Hold Square to bring up the main menu before the fight begins. And I do remember using it in Remake, and if it works the same, you should be able to reequip and adjust gear between phases without having to back out completely.

For the Jenova fight they give all party members except Cloud free limit breaks. For the Sephiroth fight, with the elemental wings, they force Yuffie on you who just counters it with Elemental Ninjutsu. The final battle, Aerith wrecks the Masamune and stuff with Sorcerous Storm. The game really doesn't expect you to have optimal materia on everyone.

No Herta needed. Got full stars by scraping 25k on the first half with Kafka/Black Swan/Jingliu/Ruan Mei. And then fully clearing Cocolia side with Acheron/Pela/Sparkle/FireMC

Looking at my build I forgot Herta was on Atk boots, which only works with Himeko around for triggers so I can switch those and maybe put on ER rope. And then just focus on making the other side better and giving them Ruan Mei.

Also I don't have Acheron, does using her ult count 3 times for the PF buff since you hit the button 3 times?

For Acheron I use the one that gives an enemy a debuff when they attack. It's an Acheron charge for every enemy action.

They're just a taste.

I've been refusing to build Herta, but maybe I should... Now with World 9 giving e6

Yeah I am not sure which buff to use on the non Acheron team.

So far Preservarion Stelle has been tanking for Acheron in MoC12 and PF just fine! Acheron nukes before it gets out of hand. Didn't use her on the Sam side though.

Yeah, if you do everything perfect (all side quests, all synergies, all conversations, same swimsuit), the beach fight is the tiebreaker between the two.

Acheron e3 then Yanqing e2... I'm thinking I hold now for Fu Xuan. Is Fu still worth it?

Demo makes Stellar Blade seem more Sekiro than Nier gameplay.

I just have Acheron with Salsotto and no other set bonuses. 77/178 Crit. More than fine while I'm still grinding traces. And will probably grind for my Preservation unit before even focusing on the new planars or pioneer.

E2S1 Acheron is too good

Finished the story. I didn't particularly care about Aventurine's trip around the theme park and hanging out with Gallager. I wanna say I liked 2.0 better overall. However these moments were excellent, in order:
1. Welt with Acheron
2. Sam with Acheron and MC
3. Aventurine wth Sunday

Wow this Trailblaze mission letting me test Aventurine with Acheron and now I'm soooo tempted to pull for him.

For Yuffie, you give her Speed Demon Keychain, you cast Haste and ATB Ward on her, and then spam Brumal Form while on the ward to give the party infinite ATB

No. He will only start casting Zantetsuken if you're bad and get hit a lot by his other abilities. If you're good at avoiding his attacks, he will never cast it.

I do wonder how much of a qol Acheron's tech is for SU, considering I never pick combat rooms anyway.

I hear Gallager also debuffs and is good for Acheron ult but his sustain is worse than Gepard. Hmm

Oh when going for Acheron lost one 5050 and got e1 Gepard. So am I building Gepard with the Trends cone now for Acheron? XD

Miura blew my mind every time I picked him so he's at the top for me. Gouto's option select puts him at number 2. Nenji and Tomi are next for being the only good romance. I really would have liked Hijiyama if not for his coin mechanic.

I just realized there's a walled off snowboard minigame in Gold Saucer. We so coming back in part 3 for more minigame madness.
