This will stop situation's like the mother's where she has to work three jobs to make ends meet for her family, covering the cost of many essentials. Improve and expand government housing. Government housing is generally scaled off of income and leans more towards the cheaper side. I moved out to Tennessee to be with my dad while looking for a place, and ended up applying at the Housing authority -- I am paying less than $200/mo for a three bedroom, granted I am in a smaller town. Issues like these are systemic. It effects poor people, and especially poor minorities even more than myself. Ultimately, if we can fix the systemic issues fix we can then focus on reforming education and make sure that the budgets are used effectively as well. --- |
