I know people like this that just cannot grasp any word that is even remotely foreign sounding, even if it uses sounds you normally use to speak every day (like the Shiori example in the video). I get not knowing how to pronounce a name when you read it for the first time, like a teacher reading attendance on the first day of school. But for fuck's sake, how are people so stupid that they are completely incapable of simply mimicking sounds when the person tells them their name? It's not that fucking complicated.

It genuinely pisses me off sometimes. >:-|

I don't know a single person who would think this. That's a ridiculous assumption that goes pretty much exactly against all the evidence you've ever gotten from dealing with her.

To be honest, start recording her tantrums. Just audio, if you can't get video without her seeing and blowing up even more. Then have her committed to a psych ward. She has issues that are not being addressed, and she has shown that she is unwilling to work on them voluntarily with therapy. You either force her via getting her institutionalized, or you kick her to the curb and let her destroy her life on her own.

I have bought 2 XBone controllers to use for my PC, both of which are also still perfectly fine. It's the same experience literally everybody I know has with their Xbox controllers since the 360 days.

My mom has been teaching 6th grade for almost 30 years now. The horror stories she's told me are just...indescribable. Especially this past year with all the online teaching. There's kids literally acting like they don't know how to log in so that they can waste class time and get out of doing work. Most of the students know more about computers than the damn teachers do, so they think they can get away with stupid shit like that. The sad part is that they're usually right, and there won't be any consequences for doing it. It's infuriating.

yeah exactly

so i dont know why everyone is crying.

The point is that Apple is claiming this move is for the environment. But they give you 2 options. You can use your old cable/charger, in which case they're including a completely wasteful and useless cable in the box for no reason (especially considering practically nothing currently has use for a USB-C connector outside of charging bricks). Or you can buy a new charger, which is going come in another wasteful excessively packaged box at the usual significantly marked-up price.

It's not actually helpful to anybody the way they have it set up. If you've got the iPhone 11 pro with the charging brick, then you already also already have the USB-C cable, so the one in the box is a waste. If you don't have the USB-C charging brick, then the cable in the box is even more useless and is a waste. It's moronic and literally only serves as enticement to buy yet another Apple accessory that used to come packaged with the phone but has been removed so that they can charge for it instead.

EDIT: Yeah, I misunderstood the initial question. That's my bad. It's a stupid move because they claim it to be for environmental reasons, but their implementation is basically the exact opposite of environmental. But yes, you can still use and charge your new phone with the old cables. Albeit not as quickly, which is one of the selling points of upgrading in the first place.

Yeah, the difference is that Samsung isn't changing the charging cord at the same time as not providing a new one.

The only iPhones that came with a compatible charging cable were the pro models from last year, most of whom aren't replacing their phones after a single year. Everyone who has had their iPhone for 2 or more years, and are thus more likely to be thinking about an upgrade (or hell, even the non-pro versions of last year's iPhone), will now need to go purchase a charger separately and waste even more resources on the extra packaging from a second box.

Don't get me wrong, I still think it's stupid. But at least Samsung is doing this stupid thing correctly.

For me at least, my group of friends was just not particularly interested in school-related gatherings. There was about 15-20 of us and we threw parties and hung out constantly. We just preferred stuff like bonfires over dances. My house was on a 7-acre piece of land that used to be a farm. It was about 1/3 woods and had 3 small pastures. We had set up a really nice bonfire pit at the far end of the middle pasture surrounded by woods, so there was plenty of privacy. We'd be out there 'till 3 or 4 in the morning screwing around, playing music, and (occasionally) drinking and nobody ever gave us any grief about noise or anything. Some really great memories from those nights. 1000x better than any stories I ever heard about school dances, that's for sure.

Me neither. Mostly because I never went to a school dance.

Although I do remember the incredibly awkward moment I had the night of the senior prom. Myself and group of friends weren't going to the dance and it was the weekend that one of the Matrix movies released. So we all decided to meet up at the movie theater to see it and then spend the night at one of our houses afterwards. When I went to pick up one of my buddies, his younger sister (I think she was a sophomore?) came downstairs wearing this really nice dress. I assumed she was going to the prom, so I told her she looked pretty and asked if she had heard the door and thought it was her date. She kind of quietly said she didn't have a date, and asked if I would take her. I was frankly stunned, and kinda stumbled over some excuse about not having bought tickets and the guys were expecting me at the theater or something. I don't even really remember. It was just so strange and out of the blue that my memory of the moment is kind of a haze now.

Now, she was obviously very socially awkward and very shy, but she really was cute and I was serious when I complimented her. Thinking back on it now, there's still no chance I'd have taken her to prom, but I kinda wish I had at least invited her to join us for the movie. I feel a little bad thinking how she obviously had really wanted to go, even getting a dress and doing her makeup and everything. And how hard it probably was for her to even get up the courage to ask. She was probably crushed by the way I rejected her, and I don't remember her ever talking to me again afterwards, despite me being good friends with her brother for years. :-(

There is never an excuse for cheating. Never.

If you're not happy in your current relationship, you have 2 options:
  1. Put in some genuine effort to fix it.
  2. Leave.
It's really that simple. Of course, "simple" is not the same thing as "easy." It can be very hard to give up on something you've invested that much time and effort into. I will always recommend option 1. But if you try option 1 and it's not getting any better, then you have to leave. Just because you're unhappy doesn't give you the right to toy with someone else's emotions. Cheaters are scum. Don't be scum.

I remember being very confused by the marketing for the movie, because I don't think they really made it clear how dark the story was. You say that like Dragonball has any qualms about reusing the same plot device repeatedly. This is literally a topic about the show currently being a carbon copy of the Cell saga. Goku gives the big bad a senzu. Big bad then gets beat up again by newest powerup. Big bad turns himself into a giant bomb (hell, they even copied the whole villain becoming an inflated grotesque mass) and threatening that he'll take the whole planet with him if he loses.

I do suffer from a pretty severe biological depression. It's taken a long time and whole lot of work, but I've been able to get it mostly under control. Being social and even just having conversations with friends used to be completely exhausting. But now I genuinely enjoy spending time around others and hanging out with people I care about. I still really struggle with finding the motivation and drive to make significant changes or decisions, though. I probably always will. But I get by, and I'm very content with living a simple life.

Vegeta will use his new Spirit Fission to separate Moro from the Earth. I'd say there's a 50/50 chance they'll even use it as an excuse to "separate" Merus from Moro, as a bullshit way of bringing him back. Because Dragonball doesn't give a shit about there actually being consequences for anything. Then Goku will deliver the final blow, probably give some bullshit speech about learning his lesson even though everyone knows he hasn't because the writers have given up on coming up with original ideas and will just keep repeating the same plot "twists" every arc.
