I feel you on the cynicism, but their political capital is not drawn from an infinite well. More people have their eyes and ears open to all of this crap that has occurred under their leadership, and it really needs to be collectively addressed by TX citizens.

I don't know, Beto was pretty close last time. Now with this dumbass event(Beto volunteering and helping out seniors while Cruz is vacationing in Cancun), it might be enough for dumbass Texans to open their eyes.

I hope you are both right, but I just don't see it happening. Most people will have zero knowledge of how Beto is doing more during this period (not sure he will even run against him in 2024) and that is a long time from now as well. Also, you just start talking about gun control and that is enough for millions of Texans to vote for the guy with the R next to his name. Maybe at least another republican can challenge him in 2024, I think that might work.

Sadly he will skate on by. My fellow Texans like to elect a bunch of idiots. Cruz fleeing the state that is in crises, Abbot saying the right things until he goes on Hannity, then lets blame green energy, former Gov Rick Perry saying Texans would rather not have power than allow regulations on the electric system. A bunch of idiots.

Obama did have all 3 branches when he was first elected, he used that time to generally work on the great recession we were in due to the previous administration. Looks like Biden will have all 3 branches to start as well, of course he will have to deal with the pandemic and the ineptitude of the previous administration in dealing with that. GOP always leaving a mess it appears.

Here is a top 20 I did write ups for. It is missing King Buffalo - Dead Star since they consider it an EP and the latest Samsara Blues Experiment, which came out too late in the year for my list, but probably would of been top 5. Probably not in line with a lot of people on this boards tastes.

1 Elder - Omens
2 All Them Witches - Nothing as the Ideal
3 Pallbearer - Forgotten Days
4 Sleepwulf - Sleepwulf
5 Spirit Adrift - Enlightened in Eternity
6 Lowrider - Refractions
7 Wayfarer - A Romance with Violence
8 Vinnum Sabbathi - Of Dimensions and Theories
9 Brant Bjork - Brant Bjork
10 Lucifer - III
11 Elephant Tree - Habits
12 Huntsmen - Mandala of Fear
13 Forming the Void - Reverie
14 Dopelord - Sign of the Devil
15 Enslaved - Utgard
16 The Atomic Bitchwax - Scorpio
17 Bone Church - Acid Communion
18 Mr Bungle - The Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny Demo
19 Psychlona - Venus Skytrip
20 Brimstone Coven - The Woes of A Mortal Earth

I don't disagree with the reviewer voicing their opinion on the matter, and I am on board with the notion of more diversity and inclusion in games (in a broad sense, but not "forced", or implemented in such a way where "token" characters are wedged in just to check off some boxes), especially in games where you can create a character.

Where I take umbrage is how heavily the review leaned on this one facet of the game, at the expense of reviewing much else outside of that one issue. As a reviewer, your personal biases and preferences are going to be reflected in your review, but it's important to remember your audience and write for them, not for yourself necessarily.

Would've preferred a more straightforward review, with an accompanying opinion article. But I'm sure Polygon's editor will be happy with the clicks and ad revenue this review generates so

100% agree. This would of been a good opinion article, while having a review be more broad. A majority of people probably won't care about the issues the reviewer brings up, and maybe that is her reasoning for doing the review in this way, this will get more eyes on it, but I don't think it makes for a good review.

Seems like everyone thinks people only go to college for a liberal arts degree. That seems to be the big talking point among the right who are generally anti-education. Having a liberal arts degree by the way does open a person up to a lot more opportunities for work. The trade schools are great and I think they should be promoted just as much as college degrees, but there is something to say about having a more well rounded education that you get from college.

That's the worst part. He has acknowledged in private that he lost, yet is still trying to find ways to alter the outcome, which is entirely undemocratic and unacceptable in any way, shape, or form from the president of the united states, and he also clearly does not care how much he damages faith in our system and the idea of a functioning democracy. He is 100% focused on himself and his image with no regard for the damage it causes. He is such a piece of shit.

Yep, and there will be people who continue to make excuses for it, which really makes you question if they care more about their team winning or America and the political values our country was founded on.

Why would you concede when they are still doing recounts? Of course they probably won't change the result but that doesn't make sense to do. Especially with all the voting software glitches (that all happened to favor biden coincidentally). Other glitches may appear that used dominion software

Okay, I will indulge you. I would be fine with no concession if he said something like we are going to wait until the recounts are finished instead of just baseless accusations of fraud and frivolous lawsuits that go nowhere. Secondly, he doesn't even have to concede to begin the transition process. He could allow the traditional access for the incoming president and his team without a concession, but he is not do that either. So I say he is once again messing with people's lives for his own ego.

Trump should absolutely concede and start the transition. The fact that he is just going to throw a temper and make accusations with no basis is not helping anyone. We are in the middle of a pandemic and by not assisting in the peaceful transfer of power he is once again playing with peoples lives and livelihood. Biden and his team will have to come in cold which can delay issues, like a new stimulus.

Trump has increased military spending. He did bring some troops back home, but not at a very significant level and we still have troops in all the same hot zones to this day. He has also increased the number of drone bombings and civilian casualties are on the rise from then. He also revoke the rule of transparency for deaths caused by drone strikes, so he has continued and escalated the drone warfare while being less transparent about it. This is something that a lot on the right would harp on Obama for (rightfully so in my opinion), but not a peep about it during Trumps tenure.

I will give Trump some credit for not getting into a large scale conflict. There were a couple dicey situations where I was worried that it may end up going that way, but they did not. I do think that Trump maybe doesn't have a big appetite for war, so that is one thing I will credit him with.

Not only that, the guy he was VP to didn't start the wars, but did continue them. Last I checked we still have troops in Afghanistan and Trump also did more drone attacks than Obama, but for some reason people quit talking about it (some of that is probably due to transparency).

Also, the media doesn't decide the president line from Trumpers is a silly one. We all know that, but the media has been calling presidential elections your entire life and long before that. The states will certify and the electors will vote in December. You all did not have a problem with the media calling it in 2016.

Depends on your grinder, but generally whole beans is going to be better. I grind every morning, generally on beans that have been roasted within the last month. If you want to drink high end coffee it can be a pretty expensive hobby/habit. If you put a lot of cream or sugar in your coffee, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

The other thing to consider with whole bean vs ground coffee is how you are planning on brewing your coffee. The way it comes ground is probably more suited for a drip brewer unless you are buying it espresso grind, which then it would be very fine ground.

Yes, it should be for a few reasons, but it won't solve all issues and most people that work retail or food industry would still have to work like most other holidays. However, having it a national holiday would increase turn-out, which I think most people would think is a good thing. Also, USA probably has the fewest national holidays, so adding another is not that big of deal, we probably should have more days off throughout the year.
