Which singles are your referring to as their only popular ones? Patience is a pretty big hit, November Rain, You Could Be Mine... None of those are from the debut (which yes is their most popular album).

What makes it so terrible?

It is not good at keeping a continue watching spot. The menu is not intuitive and occasionally I would have to force stop the app and reboot it because it just didn't work properly. It could be better now, I haven't watched anything on there in about a year.

The app does suck (I use it on fire tv). Good shows, but bad app design.

My opinion on the ones listed. I voted for Max as a personal pick as it has several of my all time favorite shows.

Amazon prime video - Has some pretty good shows, but also a lot of average stuff at best. Movie selection is decent. With the extra perks for shopping this is a pretty good deal, but they recently added adds which lowers the value.

Disney plus/hulu - Bundle with Hulu this is a good deal. Disney plus is good if you have kids or like a lot of Disney movies/shows. The Marvel and Star Wars shows are my biggest appeal as I have no kids, but they have been a little hit or miss. Hulu has all the FX content which I find most of it is top notch (watch The Americans, Devs and Reservation Dogs people). I think this is one of the better ones when bundled. Hulu has some good movies, but the pickings overall are pretty slim.

Peacock - I recently got this on a deal for $20 for a year. They have the Office and Parks and Rec which are great sitcoms, so that adds a lot of value. As far as original content, I think they are lacking compared to others. I am currently enjoying Mr Mercedes, but I haven't found a lot else to watch that I am really interested in.

Paramount plus - I have only had this briefly on free trials. I know they have Star Trek shows but this one doesn't have much that appeals to me. I think if you bundle it with Showtime it could have some value. Showtime has some good shows like early Dexter, Penny Dreadful, Nurse Jackie, Weeds, Ray Donavon and Californication. So definitely some value here.

Apple TV plus - This probably used to be the best deal before they raised the price, but is still a good deal. Most of there shows are of high quality. Some of my favorites are Severance and Silo. This one is worth getting for a few months at a time. The movie selection is fairly lacking though.

Max - HBO was the king of quality for a long time. They still put out high quality shows, but there are some concerns with more recent moves like taking some shows off the service and a push of the discovery content. Overall though I think this is one of the best out there, especially if you haven't seen many of the HBO shows like The Sopranos, The Wire, Deadwood, Game of Thrones, Watchmen, The Leftovers, Rome, or Succession. They also have a pretty good movie selection.

Tubi - I have never used this, so no comment. I don't like ads.

Pluto tv - I have never used this, so no comment. I don't like ads.

Crunchyroll - If you like anime a lot this is probably worth it.

Netflix - The king of streaming. They seem to prefer quantity over quality, but they still do have a lot of very good shows. Some concern with any show you are watching may get canceled before it is finished. That is probably true with all others as well, but seems more common with Netflix. Netflix original movies are usually just okay, rarely being great, but often not being bad either. They cycle in a lot of good movies though as well.

One not mentioned is AMC. I think they have some pretty good high qualtiy shows they could merit a subscription occasionally. You also get Shudder, which is cool if you like horror, but a lot of it is of the B variety.

It has some high quality shows, and used to be one of the best prices too, but they recently raised the price. I think it is worth it to watch Severance, Ted Lasso and Silo. Foundation is pretty good too, and I have heard good things about For All Mankind. They seem to favor quality over quantity. I don't have it right now, but I will again for the 2nd season of Severance and Silo and also when Dark Matter has been released.

It wasn't that great, had a few moments I found funny but overall pretty forgettable. I was just giving an example of a newer movie that fit your category. I don't find American Pie movies to be that great either. The first was pretty good, but the rest were mostly just dumb.

I am going to disagree with others about the last few books. I enjoyed them quite a bit and book 7 is right there with The Drawing of Three as my favorite in the series. The end is pretty controversial, but I thought it was great. That said, I didn't have long waits in-between the books.

Yep, this year is going to suck. I have had so many republican voters tell me they don't like Trump, or they wish they had a different choice as well, yet they had a great opportunity with the primaries to nominate someone else. The media sure as hell doesn't help anything either. They prop the orange menace up because he equals ratings for them.

Now I finished the Dragon Reborn. I think this one might be my favorite so far. This series is so great that I just fly through the books.

The 4th book is a lot of people's favorite. There is an infamous slog for the series that takes place from book 7/8 through book 10. For me 8 and 9 had some good moments, but were just okay and book 10 was bad, but it gets back on track and finishes strong so don't let it deter you. I had a blast reading through this series and it is in my top 5 now.

We are at a point where he keeps saying Winds will be out next year, that he's written so much, blah blah blah.

Stringing people along is not a good look.

Okay, but that has nothing to do with the content of the post on his blog. He didn't talk about Winds at all in it. Plus, honestly he doesn't actually say that. He quit doing predictions quite a long time ago. He will sometimes give updates, but he has not made an actual prediction since probably before Dance was released.

How did he piss off his fan base with what he wrote on his blog? I completely agree with him that there is a lot more negativity surrounding anything. Look at the amount of youtubers that just spread hate and the popularity of them. Movies will get a ton of hate before they are released, and people nitpick everything. There is nothing wrong being critical about something, but there are so many people that just want bombard anyone who expresses that they enjoyed something with negativity.
