He did get us out of the recession and things were stable. Honestly when we have sudden quick groth expect a fall to follow and that is exactly what happened. There is something to be said from a stedy stable econemy even when it's not as high as you want it to be. I'm not criticizing Obama for his policies. To his credit, he did as little as possible to interfere with the economy by not passing radical leftist reform, regulations, or wage increases other than the minimum wage for government contractors. Also in Obama's defense, the 2008 recession was not a typical recession. It was a series of poor management and irresponsibility of credit over 10 years in the making, and since it was a housing bubble it resulted in a lot of people being homeless. It was a giant clusterfuck to be sure. But also, Obama was definitely not the savior wizard that the left props him up to be. Most of the recovery was handled by the Federal Reserve, which is their role to handle such situations, but in reality we really REALLY could have used that corporate tax cut about 8 years ago. |
