It is also the cheapest making it a common filming location for more niche genre shows. Seattle is the biggest US city that has the most similar weather and environment as Vancouver. So it is easy to claim that is where they are. She entered into a contract with whatever studio made her movies. But her content has since been uploaded by many other entities through piracy and what not. None of those entities have any legal rights to use anything. Second, I am an attorney. Starting a lawsuit requires the court having jurisdiction over a defendant. Some of these sites arent based in the US, and the defendants would claim US courts lack jurisdiction over them. Assuming she even manages to serve them. Odds are they would actively avoid service regardless of their location. And then if she managed to get past those hurdles, they likely wouldnt show up. The companies would get a default judgment against them (no one is going to jail) and shes never be able to enforce it. This is why you have to pay for celebrity endorsements. As for defamation, theres no doubt saying shes an active pornstar is defamatory. The issue is whether they say it directly or imply it. The issue she runs into is that it is probably nearly impossible to take any action against these porn sites as they likely would manage to avoid actually appearing for any court, and it would be impossible to enforce a judgment.
