I've actually sold dozens of video games and textbooks and things like that on Amazon and I never have had a single issue. I don't know why I even bothered with ebay. I should have just listed it on Amazon

What OP said is bullshit because on Ebay the buyer always pays first before the seller ships the item out. Also Ebay doesn't just ban you like that. The buyer has to wait a few weeks before they can report that they didn't receive the item and then they can open up a case and Ebay will try to sort it out. If the buyer never gets their item then they get a refund. I don't know what it would take to get banned as a seller but if you're a long time member I doubt they would ban you over one issue like that. Basically OP is lying.

Nothing I said was bullshit. Why would I post on CE to lie about eBay? That is pointless. I said I have no idea what the issue was; I suspected the buyer because he was really aggressive about me shipping the game immediately. Like he sent two messages in a 2 hour time span asking that I send by the next day (a Saturday). It is possible, however, that the issue was me selling something with an old, rarely used account. Someone else noted they got permanently suspended for the same reason.

You shouldn't call people liars without any evidence or reason. It's honestly pretty sad and pathetic.

Weird cause I bought an item and then the seller wouldn't send to me and relisted it at a higher price.
I reported them and the listing was still up for awhile.
Took like a month to get my refund.

Nope. I didn't ask anyone to do anything. I only responded to their two messages saying I'd send the next day. Then did so.

I think as someone said it was automatic because I've only used my account to buy things a few times over multiple years.

They automatically provided a stock photo of the game. Advertised it as opened like new. Buyer hadn't received it yet so no basis to complain.

Just stock pic that came with it. Thing is the auction was up for over a day, item sold, and I shipped the next day using their postage purchasing system.

A similarly bizarre thing happened to me some number of months ago. Never sold anything before. Last time I bought something was 2018. Listed three volumes of a Code Geass manga for sale, listing was taken down, and my account was permanently suspended. They state they literally cannot tell you why you're suspended, which has to be the dumbest thing ever. Only thing I can think is that infrequently used accounts are flagged as high risk, but it makes no sense that they don't just force you to verify yourself or something.

Hmm. Maybe that's the issue. I never sold before. I usually sold games through Amazon but there were so many fulfilled by Amazon listings I thought I'd have better luck on eBay.

I haven't really used eBay in forever, but I wanted to sell my copy of Elden Ring because it wasn't for me. The buyer was pestering me to send next day, which I did. I then get a message that my account was permanently suspended. I think the buyer reported me for something to avoid paying for the game. Anyway, eBay has no ability to contact an actual person to even find out why it was suspended or to resolve the issue. It's bizarre. How is this a thing in 2022?
