| AndreLeGeant 12/04/17 6:25:06 PM #4 | In Latin an adjective could come before a word or after. You could even put an adjective as the first word of a sentence and the noun as the Last! Thats because words linked together because of their ending, not where they were in a sentence. When Latin became the various Romance languages, sound changes meant that word order had to be more rigid. Whether the adjective went before or after the noun was random habit.
