(I have used Aeris82 on other places, but contrary to what people thought I NEVER used Aerith. I hate that spelling of her name. | Alanna82 08/20/19 12:55:20 PM #14 | GBA Tales of Phantasia was fine. It had one major auto-correct issue It changed Ragnarok (which my spell checker accepts just fine) to Kangaroo. Legends of Localization proved it. It also used Cress instead of Cless and Claus instead of Klarth, but both are valid translations of the original kanji. (and also the Cress and Claus my spell checker likes, but not the other two) (Also, Aeris is a perfectly valid translation, I don't know why they changed that to the more unpleasant sounding Aerith. ) It didn't have the dirty tiger line, but that was added in the fan translation. --- Don't mess with a Bunny! |

| Alanna82 08/01/19 12:08:07 PM #10 | I haven't played Magic since interrupts and mana burn were a thing. I always made decks with 20 creatures, 20 spells and 20 lands like was recommended. I was in a sealed deck thing and lost every game except to an 8 year old kid (who was the son of the guy running the tourney) I actually understood banding, regeneration and protection. I actually liked the Homelands set since it was the first attempt at flavor and it was meant to slow the game down because stuff from alpha was broken. Turns out I'm the only one who hates broken stuff. Wrote a story that had a time traveler from 2015 who played magic and wondered why all the cards from 1997 were so powerful. (The specific card was Serra Angel, she isn't even good today. ) The only word I recognize is Sliver. I don't know what the abilities even are anymore. Oh, and I never got why landwalk was so hated either. (Especially Islandwalk, since I had a card that tapped to turn a target land into an island for a turn) Sorry about the rant, I was just watching youtube videos and the kept recommending me MTG ones so I watched a few which got me thinking. (like on a shirt stain) but I said STEEN, like how people say it used to be. There are other things that have changed on me (Jiffy peanut butter, I assumed Jif was a brand name change like Sunny delight becoming Sunny D), and my friend says one day a house burned down and a few days later it was back like nothing happened to it. | Alanna82 06/27/19 3:02:52 PM #13 | I really cannot vote on this one. Pessimism is a self fulfilling prophecy (this leads to the downfall of many sports teams. Fans call out for the coach's firing and the team just gives up leading the coach to be fired. One poor season and the coach is gone) But I also really hate when people call certain characters in games useless. I see most blades in Xenoblade 2 being called bad when they all can be used to beat the game. I see healers being called useless because of "crit healing" which requires items from the end of the game and or challenge mode, which not everyone plays. I see people saying Fire Emblem tanks are useless when I tend to turtle and move across the map slower meaning I personally find them useful. But if people around are so negative, I feel negative too. I want people to be more positive. Focus more on the good people did, even if they did bad things too. People should be given a chance to change and atone for the bad they did, I've known people who messed up once and have been ruined for life. I guess that since I do want people to change and become better, that makes me an optimist? --- Don't mess with a Bunny! |
