The whole "2000 calories/day" thing is largely nonsense, lingering from WWII-era nutrational recommendations. Actual caloric needs depend on height, weight, and physical activity level. I've calculated my own, based on moderate activity, and I came in at ~3400, which is purely a consequence of being 6'4" and 190 pounds. If memory serves, Clench is about that height and probably quite a bit heavier due to all the powerlifting, and definitely qualifies as being highly active, so 3000 is perfectly reasonable. If anything, I'd expect quite a bit higher than that.

Yes and no, and that website is bullshit. It says you should eat more the fatter you are. Of course calorie intake depends on your level of activity and size, but eating 3000 calories a day is NOT healthy for the vast majority of people. It also doesn't matter if you're power lifting or bodybuilding, BMI applies anyway and that is what really counts. Bodybuilders suffer the same health risks as obese people. The only time BMI doesn't apply is when you're amputated. In such a case, you must recalculate the proportions and it varies on a case by case basis.

Here, let me show you how bullshit that website is:

With good health? LMAO!!! This example of a man shouldn't even be alive! For fuck sake, he has a BMI of 86.5! That's more than twice the threshold for morbid obesity. No, what this website shows is how much you should eat in order to maintain your current weight and "health" level. What that website really does is guessing how much you're eating. It should not be an indication of how much you should eat, unless your BMI is in the normal range. This appears to be your case, so you're right to say that eating that much is good for you. However, this doesn't apply to everyone, you're a very special case. If you become sedentary but keep eating that much however, you'll become obese real fast.

It says that mine is 2623 a day, but I actually aim lower than that because I'm trying to lower my BMI even further. Right now it's 24, which while normal, is too close to being in the overweight range. Not too long ago, I had a BMI of 38.2 and yes I ate over 3000 calories a day. I still have some flaps I'm trying to get rid of.

Rather than a hard cap, if you want to cut down on wealth disparity, minimum wage should instead be defined as a percentage of the highest wage (including bonuses) in the company. If a CEO wants to make more money, they must first pay all of their bottom-rung staff more money as well (and, by extension, everyone else in between). With some caveats. Refusing service on the basis of a disability that can reasonably be accommodated generally doesn't fly, so there might be a case against Starbucks for discrimination there. That's a big "might," though, since there's a very easy case to be made that not being able to wear a mask endangers staff and other customers too much to justify giving her such a non-essential service, plus it doesn't sound like she has a particularly legitimate disability (not to gatekeep disabilities, but generally speaking, a doctor's note should come from somebody with "doctor" in their professional title).

That's not how frequencies work. We as humans have trouble hearing frequencies that are too low or too high. The rich low frequencies I mentioned being delivered by bone conduction can't normally be heard. They can only be "felt". This is kind of like how most deaf people can still "hear" low frequency sounds. They reverberate in your body. You don't need ears to "hear" those sounds because our ears are incapable of hearing them. When you talk, your voice reverberates in your body and so you can "hear" those low frequencies. When you listen to a record of your voice, you can't hear those low frequencies.

Most deaf people can still hear sounds delivered by bone conduction. These people can actually hear themselves talk, but what they hear is very limited. They don't hear via air conduction, so what they hear is the difference between what you hear when you talk and what you hear when you listen to a record of your voice. Sound also travels in solids, and that's what bone conduction is all about.

This is similar to how we often don't like our own picture. We're used to see ourselves in a mirror, so the image we have of ourselves is mirrored. If you like combing your forelock in a certain direction, other people actually see it in the opposite direction. The same goes for imperfections such as moles, pimples and scars.

How can you be misgendered if you sound like a gay man? Sounding gay still implies that you sound like a man. Unless you're actually a woman, I don't see how you can be misgendered. Also, a voice can't sound gay, only an accent can. Gays who talk in an effeminate accent can actually sound not gay if they try, just like how a straight man can mimic a gay accent if they want. Paradoxically, when I was undergoing puberty around the time I turned 14, I actually liked my recorded voice more than the one I heard in my head. My voice was just getting deeper, it was when I could no longer shriek like a girl. Since my recorded voice sounded higher, I recognized it more than the one I was now hearing in my head. I hit puberty late and my growth spurt was insane. In primary school (6-12 years old), I was always in the middle in class pictures, i.e. half of my peers (both genders combined) were taller than me. On my first year of high school (12-13 years), many girls were taller than me. A year later and we were equal in height. Another year later and I finally exceeded them but only barely. By the time I reached my maximum height at 16 (yes, that fast), I was now among the tallest. My height is 182 cm (1 cm below 6 ft).

QTFT. I single-handedly sued both LG and Best Buy and won. I'm even currently planning on suing them a second time for the exact same reason because they dared screw me over twice because they hope to exhaust me. Okay, since there has been a lot of misunderstandings about the issue, let me explain.

How this is unrelated to freedom or speech:
Freedom of speech is there to protect citizens from being prosecuted, censored or imprisoned by the government for having a different opinion than them. For example, you may publicly proclaim that you love communism, that you hate the government, that you hate democracy, that you want someone to be killed, that you identify yourself as an alligator trapped in a human body, etc. without fear of being prosecuted, censored or imprisoned by the government. While this protects you on a legal manner, it won't prevent other citizens from hating your guts. The nurse obviously stated a controversial opinion. Whether or not what she said falls under freedom of speech is irrelevant. The hospital isn't the government, so they have all the rights to fire her. Whether or not this constitutes as an unlawful termination of her contract is irrelevant to freedom of speech.

How this is related to freedom or speech:
Some people are arguing that she should get imprisoned for what she said. One side argues that what she said falls under freedom of speech while the other side argues that it constitutes a death threat, thus not being protected by freedom of speech. So what exactly counts as a death threat? Freedom of speech actually covers hypothetical threats. For example, "I would kill someone if he looked at me with disdain" is protected under freedom of speech. On the other hand, "I will kill you" isn't protected by it because it counts as a death threat. It appears like what she says does indeed fall under freedom of speech, so the government unfortunately can't do anything about it.

Exceptions to freedom of speech:
Incitement: the advocacy of the use of force is unprotected when it is directed to inciting or producing imminent lawless action and is likely to incite or produce such action. For example, inciting someone to commit robbery, murder or suicide.

I'd rather cuddle (not sex, not kissing, just cuddle) with an average looking man than her and I'm not even gay. If she was still like in the first picture and not wearing makeup (it's a big turn off for me, almost as much as smoking and even more so than being fat), I would agree to go on a date with her. As a formerly fat person, I tend to encourage fat people to stop overeating and I'm always happy to give them advice, but I refuse to respect anyone who thinks it's fine to be fat. Accepting your fatness is and should never be the solution, you have to accept that you have a problem. You're not telling alcoholics and people with an addiction to gambling that what they're doing is acceptable, so don't do it with a fat person. If they haven't already, make them realize that they have a problem and offer help. If they refuse help, feel free to publicly shame them. If they accept your help, be kind, encouraging and understanding.

There should be more support groups akin to the AA for fat people. I've never been to one, but I would consider sponsoring if given the opportunity. I might even not refuse a sponsor for myself, it can sometimes become difficult not to relapse. Thanks to the pandemic, I've been unable to go to the gym and social distancing brought me back to bad habits. I gained some of the weight I lost, nothing near the level of obesity but still over a healthy BMI. I just started losing it little by little, hoping to return to a healthy level within two months, but it's hard when you're more sedentary than ever.
