But I just don't think it's possible. Americans are too stupid and appearances are too important, and their understanding of how our political system functions and the role of the President is too poor.

To the average voter, it's "prices are higher, President bad". It takes a lot of skill in communication and persuasion to change their mind, and even if you think you have, it'll take one five minute conversation with someone else to undo that.

Biden, in his current state, is a very easy target. It's very easy to blame him for things he has nothing to do with, and it's very hard for him to shake those criticisms because he's approaching senility. Changing the figurehead, in this case, is important because it gives voters a fresh look and something to project their hopes onto.

And I think the donors will manipulate this too. They get their pick. Not the American people. Or else, no money.

I am looking at his accomplishments during this administration and I want more. The disaster is just being gaslighted. In fact, Bidens replacement will be gaslighted just as much if certain people dont like them.

If Obama and others have said this, I want to hear it directly from their mouths and explain to us what foolproof plan they have to win this election in a few short months. Is it Harris? Will all or majority of the voters (not elite donors) agree? Will the donors throw their weight around and suggest someone else?

I dont think so. What about the newcomerss policy? Their administrative picks? They wont follow Bidens policies exactly. Not every Democrat will fall in line in four/five short months on someone right before election. It will be doubtful the majority of voters will instantly like a sudden replacement.
