Are you hyped? Will this movie top Fury Road?

As in as a piece of history? Sure, it was one of biggest watersheds in gaming history.

As in holding up now? Nah. Slow, clunky, loads of pacing issues, and been improved upon in every way.
You can criticize so many aspects of OoT, but the word "pacing" automatically kills your credibility dead in its tracks.

That game moves from one point to the next so well.

IDK what people mean by "they are back!"

FFVII Rebirth is great, but it's a cut of its own genre being more of an action RPG made in Japan.

Are we talking about remaster like Star Ocean or Final Fantasy Pixel remaster? Great for nostalgia, but Im trying to get into Star Ocean and it just feels so archaic.

I would like more remaster like Xenogears, but what new JRPG's are out there? I dislike Persona, and I keep hearing people complain that Unicorn Overlord is too easy, which is a big detractor for me and Tactical RPGs.

What are these new crown jewels I'm snoozing on? I would like to get immersed in a new JRPG.

I actually never once played a Wild Arms game. I think I got Wild Arms 3 for Christmas, but it was around then that I didn't play every game that I got.

I do not know anything about the WA series, and have not heard a lot of buzz about it. It isn't like Suikoden, Breath of Fire or Xenogears where there's a small amount of people who are passionate about it. It just kind of used to be a series that stopped.

Multiple people in that topic quite literally did just that.

You also made a poll asking if you should get it and the responses were overwhelmingly yes.

Why you lying?
Again, I don't have a picture perfect memory of the topic.

I specifically do remember people telling me "This game probably isn't for you. Don't waste your time with it."

That seems like an aggressive statement to make. Like I'm not welcome in the BG3 community.

I guess there were people saying to try it out too? Idk, you tell me. You are the one that has all of this in front of you. Idk how you even looked it up, but from what I remember people were being very rude and hostile to me for not being into western RPGs and fantasy. The positive response may not have left as much of an impression on my memory because they weren't as "loud".

My topic on the BG3 board is not the topic that I made last year on CE asking if I should buy the game.

I waited for Rebirth to be on the horizon before playing Remake.

My advice, if you are at all interested in the games, play them now, with maybe a month or two break in between.

Trying to play all 3 consecutively like they are all one game will feel like an abusive relationship. Rebirth, while good and I liked it, meandered entirely too much and I wanted my life back by the end of it.

I don't really bother trying to play modern bigger video game releases on it. Mine is mostly used to play the smaller indie-like games (games like river city ransom underground and pizza tower is perfect for the steam deck), older games, or have it set up to play emulators.
Yeah, that's also a big appeal. I love Indie games that you can boot up and play for 10 minutes, or get sucked into and replay start to finish on a whim. Hotline Miami, Hyperlight Drifter, Furi, Door Kickers Action Squad. I also love digital novels like 999. These are fun to play on your couch just chilling like the mod said. BG3 and the new Shadowrun games are also good contenders, though BG3 isn't indie.

I even started buying a bunch of these titles on Switch as they were ported. But my Steam library is king. Still not sure I want to blow my entire refund on it, but considering it.

I'm getting $510 back for my State Tax Returns. I'm unemployed right now, but still getting paid until July. Then that sweet sweet unemployment comp kicks in. So I'm not looking for work anytime soon and a new console could help kill the brutal summer time hours when it's too hot to do anything.

I've got a decent Steam library, but I stopped getting games on PC about 2 years ago and bought a PS5 instead of upgrading my PC. Still, it might be nice to have that library. Someone even told me that BG3 runs pretty well on it.

The main complaint I hear is about how big it is. Not really a portable console that you want to carry around. I mean, even the Switch is kind of a pain and I guess this one is like a bulky Switch.

What say you, CE? I imagine you guys have spent some time with one.

In fairness, the Goose God (in keeping with his being a pastiche of the Greek gods, most of which were total jerks at best) clearly didn't respect Muriel's boundaries and refused to take her polite "no" for an answer, and was fully intending on abducting her before Courage tricked him into falling in love with Eustace's truck and taking that up into the heavens with him instead. Without Courage's intervention, Muriel might not have been able to escape the Goose God's clutches on her own, and Courage would have been stuck with Eustace on Earth.
Yeah, I get that Courage always does the right thing. It's just messed up that after all the abuse he's trying to help Eustace get some.
