Despite the fact that they become office goths, who ironically are afraid to break any rules at work and are constantly scared of getting fired, goths never have any money.

The goth scene has never died, but it floats around struggling businesses. Unless you live in LA or New York City, where you can go to Bar Sinister or some equally famous goth bar, most goth events hop place to place or are only once a month or so. It's always around, but most places aren't going to make it a regular night for their establishment because those people never spend any money and are also huge gate keepers.

These Dune movies sound like real stinkers. Glad I skipped.

About $1300 for 8 more weeks. Then my severance runs out. Then I have to go on unemployment.

Late seasons of Family Guy try to paint Meg as a badass who can compete in Olympic Sports but it just comes off as dumb and contrived. I didn't like the abuse either but the pendulum didn't need to swing that far in the other direction. The episode where she tells everyone off is one of my favorites though.

I had no idea. Is there any recovery for this condition? Asking for a friend. My friend has also stopped watching porn to the point where there isn't really any addiction anymore, but my friend still has problems when he has sex.

It was Pauly Shore and he is horrible in this. This was the era when Pauly Shore couldn't take a hint and pushed his way into everything. Of course history has proven that this just made everyone sick of him.

The worst part is that character is from the cartoon and had a different voice actor, so Pauly Shore bullying his way into this movie cost someone their job.

But they had no business being packaged separately, whether you liked the first level of Phantom Pain (AKA Ground Zeroes) or not.

I think it was a full priced game too. MGS 5 has got nothing on Resident Evil Nemesis Remake.

It's just the tanker mission from MGS2.

It sets the whole premise for Phantom Pain and it isn't remotely a complete story in its own right. There are also people here who pretend that it's OK that it was packaged separately, because the gameplay and base is slightly different, but it has no business being a separate product.

It was like the ultimate red flag that MGS had gone downhill along with Keifer Sutherland being the new voice, but no one knew how bad it was actually going to be.

Honestly, it's not so bad for a portable game, and it IS a portable game, so it's fine.

The secret last boss actually felt like a proper final boss and it was narratively way more a Metal Gear game than PP.

I guess what makes me so mad about PP is that it felt like a high budget, detailed Peace Walker, STILL being a portable game that makes you repeat missions over and over again.

And narratively speaking, it was garbage. The story contributes nothing, everyone is out of character (especially Kaz + Ocelot), and the plot twist was insultingly stupid. This is a rare case where a lot of the fan series on the trailer turned out being better than anything the game actually gave us.

I just get so mad thinking about this game, I want to throw everything associated to it under the bus, so Peace Walker gets crap.

Worst in the series if you don't count the portable games that it was a sequel to.

I'm on sabbatical right now. I got fired two months ago, but they have to pay me out and are still paying me about $5K a month net until July.

Then I get that sweet, sweet unemployment.

I'm sitting on enough money to last me a year. But I got no GD clue what to do with my freedom.

I rock climb and do Jiu-Jitsu, but both of those hobbies account for maybe 2 hours out of my evening.

During the day, I have no idea what to do. It's gotten too hot to take my dog out. I've got no creative niche so IDK how the hell to just productively spend time at home.

I'm just playing video games or reading comics or re-watching Regular Show like it's my job. This isn't as glamorous as I had imagined.

If I want to get out, I go to the coffee shop, but that is usually just me sitting around, not interacting with anyone.

Does anyone know how to find purpose in this world? What do people do during the day? The nights on weekends even. Should I take up day drinking? The climbing gym is as social as my life gets.

It just seems like everyone who talks crap about this movie didn't get what they were going for.

I get you guys want to take a stand against exploitation of women or whatever, but he isn't going to turn away from the camera because he's staking someone out. It would be so dumb if he did it, literal 4th wall breaking levels of stupidity.

The girl I was with made a comment on this when we saw it and she was insufferable, bringing politics and this kind of stuff into everything. I ghosted her because of it.

Neither am I. I have grown sick of Batman from all the fans that want him portrayed like he's perfect, just needs a plan, doesn't matter how contrived or dumb it is. He always has some perfect DEM to pull out of his butt and he can beat Superman.

But I do like good movies.

It had good moments, but holy fuck it dragged on way too long, the entire last 45 minutes felt like it was tacked on in post with reshoots to up the stakes, I get Bruce was inexperienced but he came off as dumb on multiple occasions and overall a creep, they found a way to make Jeffrey freaking Wright seem like an over the top caricature, and their rendition of the Joker seemed bad from the limited airtime he got (including a deleted scene), just to name a few complaints.

Colin Farrell as the Penguin was fucking awesome, though.

I didn't like their Joker either but he had such little screen time that it didn't bother me. Glad they decided to cut that leaked scene.

Maybe it's from years of Batman being ruined in comics as clearly superhuman but not superhuman, but I appreciate when I see a Batman that makes mistakes. Nolan's Batman was just too flat out incompetent by the third movie though, that was inexcusable.

Even if there was another entrance, IDK why you wouldn't assume he had that covered too. It was made pretty clear he had a lot of people under his thumb.

Did you go into the movie with your mind made up not to like it? A friend of mine did that, but that's because he's super immature and keeps associating Batman as "the Twilight guy". It's pretty annoying because it ages him significantly, like nowadays nobody thinks of those two actors in that context. Both of them have moved on.

Anyways, if you didn't like it that's OK. It just seems like if you didn't like this one why would you like any of the Batman movies. My friend always shuts his mouth when I mention it, but he would get really enthusiastic about how Ben Affleck is the best one and how his movie is going to be amazing, and now when I bring that up it just totally shuts him down. Like he is done with the argument.

I hated it

from the very first scene that shows Batman on the news, and yet the criminal on the street says who are you supposed to be? To the scene where Batman watches catwoman with binoculars as she changes, to the scene where he puts his face next to an exploding bomb, to the scene where he says youre not my real dad! To the scene where the penguin literally dunks on both Gordon and Batman and just calls them morons, to the fact that the movie just would. Not. Fucking. End.

it was hands down my least favorite movie of the year, and my least favorite Batman movie. And I was so excited for it too!

Sure, this Batman made rookie mistakes. That's better than veteran Batman who quit after his first hard day at work being outsmarted by everyone in the Dark Knight Rises.

You guys have had some bad takes before. Can someone explain this one to me? Without just being like "It's a bad movie!". Like, as a Batman fan this is the only one that I didn't have any problems with while watching. I know it doesn't have Heath Ledger in it, and it might not be perfect sure, but this is a really good movie.

Yes it did have that line. There's nothing really wrong with that line though, so IDK why you singled it out. It looks a little awkward on paper, but the actor delivered it well and it was mostly just there to show Obi Wan's friendly nature.

The first movie has a lot worse lines, one line was so had Mark Hamil had it memorized to talk about on talk shows and recite it to show how bad it was. I don't remember it but you can find it on YT. Some line about them storming the Death Star that he refused to read.

I block people a lot these days, but he was one of the first that I showed the door.

He generally writes bad dialogue. Had nothing to do with her level of eloquence. He flat out would write lines that the original actors refused to read they were so bad.

If you are getting ghosted, you are already doing better than like 70% of the people on CE.

I used to be quite proud of my looks. I'm in excellent physical shape. But over time I started losing my hair and have to shave my head to have a "look" now that isn't just balding. I'm also short, at 5'7". So, even though I used to have confidence in my looks, over a decade of online dating has destroyed my confidence. Often times I feel like I'm too ugly to leave the house.

Ironically, I've gotten with over 30 women. So my confidence used to carry me apparently. But it's gone now.

Anyways, deserved. Speed laws are in place for a reason. Slow down.

I feel like it's cheesing because I'm exploiting the enemy AI and this clearly isn't how the fight was meant to go on. I mean, I had to ignore the dialogue and just run in casting my best spell because I knew talking wouldn't get me anywhere.

Same thing with fighting Cazador. I refused to talk to him because it was too much of a pain in the ass fighting him without Astorian. So I just sucker punched him with daylight and at that point it was almost too easy. I could have taken it further by knocking him off the ledge but I felt like that was too much. But if I fight him on his terms it's a one sided curb stomp.

Still have yet to see any tactics to beat Sarovek without cheesing.

What multi class do you recommend?

What fights require cheese?

As I suspected, I beat House of Hope with cheese tactics, which were required.

I didn't bother talking to Viconia, I just ran into the room and cast Plague of Insects in the middle where they all have to bottle neck to chase you.

I ran out of the room, and it was drinking their health. It slows them down tremendously, then eats their health by like 20 a turn. There are like 15 enemies in this room so this is required over going into the room and fighting them.

They chased me, but I popped a speed potion and cast it AGAIN by the time they all managed to get to the second room. They messed it up a little by casting darkness, but I just used Daylight.

By the time they were trying to get through the second swarm of insects, I had all my party high up the stairs and Astorian was sniping whoever didn't die in the second swarm. Viconia died, but she's talking to me like nothing happened so IDK if you're even supposed to win a fight with her. The game refuses to acknowledge I bested it.

The fight with Sarovek also required cheese, as he hits you like 4 times per turn, saps your health, and can kill you in one of his turns. I needed to use the stupid dancing spell to make him hold still, and even then I got lucky killing him because he was hard to land a blow on.

The fights don't require guides or crazy cheese tactics. I completed Act 3 without any issues.

It certainly was janky compared to Act 2, and especially Act 1, but its a great final act.

Act 1>Act 3>>>>>>Act 2

yeah i could see that honestly. in act 3 i started playing with a mod that let me use the whole damn party at once for immersion purposes (because i cannot believe "the world is ending, let's let those four guys take care of it and the rest of us can sit around at camp") so i wouldn't know how difficult it is for a normal four-man party, but i bet the raphael fight is super hard with just 4 characters

I rage quit at the House of Hope. It's ridiculous that I have to fight 4 vs like an entire temple with like 15 people in that room, all of them blinding you because if you didn't find all the anti-blind armor you're just screwed and that's that.

You also stop leveling up midway through Act 3. So you feel little pay off for doing frustrating side quests and since you aren't getting any stronger you have to use cheese tactics instead of just leveling your character up to be able to stand a chance against the ridiculous nonsense they pull later on

Everything Everywhere All at Once

This. Movie sucked ass.

All of the closing fights REQUIRE cheese tactics that just remind you that you are playing a video game.

You basically are required to exploit the game AI, and also use ridiculous cheese spells just to have a chance. I looked at guides online to support my feelings.

I have made it most of the way through Act 3 and totally lost interest because of this. The games combat is super fun and it's true after 100+ hours you want more of it, but basically the third act was slopped together and doesn't feel like the rest of the game. This is why so many people restart the game 2/3rds of the way through.

Overall, great game at the start, HORRIBLE game in the closing act. Drops my 10/10 score to 7/10. Should NOT have won GOTY over RE4.

They fired that guy's regular VA just so Pauly Shore could interrupt the movie.

The more TC posts the more I see that he's the problem.

You guys don't know this, but women clothing have to be handled a specific way or you destroy them sometimes. TC probably ruined some of her clothing because he got impatient.

I know what you mean, TC. I did overall enjoy the game and I love the characters so much that it was great spending time with them, but I was seriously annoyed at how they ruined the Forgotten Capital, which should have been one of the most beautiful places in the game to see remade, and then just sort of gave up on recreating the most significant scene.

I get that they're going for something else, and I even expect Aerith to have a large presence in Part 3, so you aren't really saying goodbye to her the same way you do in OG, but for a series that tried to rebuild so many scenes, just leaving this one in the dust was bizarre.

I was also so exhausted with the game by the time I finished, I just wanted to be done. Good game that overstay its welcome.

It was once my online home. Then it became infested with people who only look at things through a bipartisan lense, and attack one another over the slightest social misstep. Fandom is not to blame for CE going downhill.
