I first got internet in '94. Free AOL discs and a 28k modem. I was in jr high school. My parents didn't get a PC or the internet until a few years after I graduated. I didnt know this was a thing in so many other countrys. Went to Columbia for vacation and found out the hard way when I took a stroll through Bogota outside the tourist zones. I was in Ben Thanh market last year and had to pay 5k dong to drain mine. It's only a few cents but yeah, without cash or an ATM machine close by in those situations you're screwed. --- This is where cool people write stuff. |
