Im not gonna read the article or argue with people about what is racist or not.

if children are struggling at a higher rate (even if it happens to primarily affect one race of student), its the schools responsibility to help them and possibly change curriculum to help those students. Thats the entire point. The fact that that sort of consideration is met with push back and debate is absolutely absurd.
The question would be if the entire curriculum needs to change or if we just need to better fund schools and pay teachers what they actually deserve so that kids get the education they need and teachers can have the resources to give more one on one time with both students that are excelling and students that are falling behind. I have a hard time imagining how a particular curriculum in itself is the problem when it's probably more that these kids are not getting the attention needed to help them understand on the same level as better funded schools.

It's understandable that the system is going to be abused given its sheer size, but from my understanding the claimant gets the revenue until the strike is removed and there's no particular punishment in place for abusing the system. That's never made a lick of sense unless it has been changed in the last few years.

Public domain being based solely on age is kinda dumb in the first place. It was based on individual creators rather than corporate entities that can make proper use of their properties for longer. Usability should take precedence. If an entity can still make proper use of its property in a way that benefits people culturally, then it should basically just be an indefinite extension. Though there should be a regulatory body to weed out scams looking to put in minimal effort to capitalize on a property unfairly like rights-holders to movie rights do when they pump out a low effort schlock to keep them from expiring. On the flipside, if a company dies and nobody makes use of the purchased rights to a property, then it should go into the public domain more quickly.

I don't agree with that. I've been saying for well over a decade we need to start holding accountable whoever the gun is registered to or whoever allowed access to the gun used in a mass shooting. Start doing that and watch sales of gun safes/locks go up and shootings go down.
You'd have to be able to prove the person was being irresponsible with gun storage, which is going to be fairly hard. It's not like safes are unpickable or unbreakable either. If it can be clearly proven that the assailant had unrestricted access to the gun, then charges could be feasible depending on circumstances.
