It always seems silly to argue about the age of fictional drawings as if it matters. If it looks like a kid = bad. If it looks like an adult = who cares.

I'm not really familiar with concerts, but is this something that is actually particularly preventable in a normal concert venue that doesn't have built in sturdy barriers? It's not like temporary barriers would stop a bunch of idiots from rushing a stage, and no amount of security could stop hundreds or thousands of people from rushing forward.

It's fairly slow paced, but it was pretty good.

The problem is that "know each other in some capacity" and "creepy grooming situation" are very vague and subjective, and laws that are open-ended like that tend to be abused.

Seeing as I assume this would only be brought up if someone was being tried on statutory rape charges, it would ultimately be up to context brought forth by testimony and character witnesses either way.

As long as they knew each other in some capacity and it's not a creepy grooming situation, it should ultimately just be up to the context of the relationship rather than setting a second arbitrary number on top of it.

Solving world hunger would basically require the occupation of countries to forcibly improve their infrastructure and I hope we've learned that doesn't work. You could probably feed a billion people for like a week at most with that amount of money, so that's a super pointless conversation.

The outdoor day scenes were definitely perfectly viewable. Though the insides were definitely pointlessly dark for no reason.

I'm confused by the whole solve world hunger thing. I'm pretty that'd still be impossible even if we confiscated every single billionaire's entire networth. There's so much more behind that than pure money could ever solve. Not that they shouldn't be closing tax loopholes on the rich.

You could say the same thing about someone being attracted to a man. If the characteristic of "having a biologically male body" removes any potential attraction for someone, it is no more transphobic to exclude them from your dating pool than it would be homophobic to exclude men from your dating pool. Their biological sex is what's important in this circumstance, not their gender.

So I'm going to ask a related question that I had a disagreement with a friend over (just in the hypothetical).

To me, leaving your partner to start a relationship with a new person in <24 hours is "equally bad" as e.g. sleeping with someone, leaving your partner, and then starting a relationship with the new person all in <24 hours.

I know that on paper in the first situation you "didn't cheat" and in the second you did, but I'm just not sure that part makes that big of a difference to me. They both seem "bad".

Depending on the circumstances, I'd say one morally probably owes more to their partner than to just dash out, but ending the relationship outright before moving on is still a million times more respectful than abusing the relationship on the side.

Outside of a few select bizarre circumstances, it's indefensible. Whether someone doesn't give a shit about their partner or sees their partner as their emotional safetynet, they still disrespect them all the same when they cheat. There is no justification to be found when cheating in a normal relationship.

There are hundreds created all the time, most of them scams, so it'd be unfeasible to hit all of them unless you're doing it as your full time job. Only the super early adopters see such a massive increase for a tiny amount of money. By the time it's listed on major platforms, you can still profit, but nowhere near that extent.

"transphobic" is a description of the actions/words themselves, and their consequences. it has nothing to do with the perspective behind them

Phobic has a specific connotation behind it that does not apply to all situations, so using it in contexts where it does not apply simply makes no sense. Putting forth the argument that something is actually coming from a place of phobia is one thing. Ascribing that to anything beyond a certain line is at best misguided

Excluded due to personal sexual preference. Rejection can come from a phobic perspective, but it shouldnt be assumed to be so without proof. If someone would sleep with a trans woman but has fears of socially being viewed as gay and thus refuse to move forward for that reason, then thatd be a form of it.

I still dont understand the stubborn desire to use phobic to describe literally any aspect of this discussion.

I'm glad the idea that biological sex should be a non-issue is a minority opinion, but it's still really fucking weird how far these people want to overcorrect.

It's a misutilized term that is too loaded to really ever use in proper discourse, but it cannot under any context be called a slur.

Self-affirmation of their gender and social acceptance of that fact doesnt make biological sex go away. There will always be cases where that matters and sexual intercourse is probably the most important.

Even ignoring discussions of consent of the partner, hiding it would definitely be an extremely selfish and assholish thing to do. I assume the majority of trans people are sensible enough to be upfront about it, but it is a worthwhile discussion regardless.

Rather than contrived stupidity, I don't get why they just don't do more contrived scenarios. I'd rather that the villain bursts through the floor/knocks down a wall and causes the protagonists to be separated forcibly rather than they decide to split up for no fucking reason.

If it were possible to legally bind someone into having sex with you via a bet or said bet will be enforced by illegal force, yes. If it's just a friendly bet that one could back out of without repercussions (excluding social repercussions), it's ultimately again just a surface level thing akin to foreplay.
