According to Andrew Gilligan, the Middle East Monitor promotes a strongly pro-Muslim Brotherhood and pro-Hamas viewpoint. Anshel Pfeffer described MEMO as a conspiracy theory-peddling anti-Israel organisation.

Try connecting their faith to the root cause of it and maybe that will help. Rather than thinking "I can't believe they believe this", focus more on figuring out why it would be important to them. Is it security in knowing that they're good deeds will eventually be rewarded even if the people they help don't return the favor? Is it fear of being forgotten? Is it simply an inability to grasp the infinite complexity of a universe born from nothing?

You don't have to agree with them, but if you better understand the why of it it may help you come to terms with it at least in that you can see it as a means to an end for an individual that doesn't have a better answer.

This is easily solved by restricting it to a very high user level / karma threshold so the "jurors" are only pulled from a pool of users who have been using the site for a very long time, and by implementing a one-per-IP system

You would need to have some really strong incentives in place for that to work. As someone that would be in that pool of users, I can't see myself spending half of my time on GameFAQs adjudicating mod appeals for the fun of it. I imagine most users that would fit your criteria would rather just be a mod.

Always weird to me when someone seems to take joy in a game coming out bad.

I don't want Pokemon games to come out bad, but playing monster sanctuary really made me realize how much wasted potential the franchise has. This is a game from one of Nintendo's biggest franchises being made by a company that had record profits in 2020. This should be the breath of the wild of Pokemon but it's skirting GameCube era quality.

At this point, we are never going to see Pokemon implemented to its fullest potential if people continue to buy and praise games that are rocking early 2000s era game design. Given that the company seems perfectly comfortable riding that line, a series of large public failures is basically the only thing that can kick start the franchise into actually becoming what it deserves to be.

It has QoL improvements that should have been in the games since the GBA, so it's going to get a lot of undeserved praise for being drastically improved over it's predecessors without consideration for the fact that said improvements should be there by default, not something to praise.

Edit: as an example, from another topic on CE:

The actual reviews and impressions are making me hype for this game

What are secondaries ? Is that referring to the chainsaw et al? So far Ive gotten the chainsaw so Ive been trying to use that, and trying to use a small amount of bullets to stagger where possible

Chainsaw, flamethrower, and Glory kills.

You eventually unlock an ice grenade upgrade for your regular grenade as well but I don't like that one very much.

It was also not the best choice of words since every gun also has at least one secondary fire mode and you should absolutely use those as well because they can be incredibly useful in a pinch. For example, if you find yourself stuck with the regular shotgun against a larger enemy, full auto mode will melt them pretty quickly.

Unlike the last Doom, Eternal is much more about resource management. Try to get into the habit of consistently using your secondaries because the difficulty curve expects that you're constantly switching between chainsawing enemies for ammo, pulling glory kills for health, and setting enemies on fire for armor. Using "the right gun for the right enemy" is de-emphasized compared to the last one in exchange for being able to use the best weapons more often if you're smart with your secondary abilities.

FYI there's 2 fat volumes named "Trigun" and then the manga changed magazines and rebranded as "Trigun Maximum" in case you get confused looking for the volumes.

Then the union aspect doesn't matter much does it? They can recognize the union and and still fire them. If they're willing to replace an entire team that team doesn't have much power regardless of what they do.

Once the union has been formally established they legally have to engage in good faith contract negotiation. Most likely any Union contract would involve a clause that allows for appeal or arbitration for employees who feel they have been fired without merit. So Activision could try firing the entire team, but it would trigger months if not years of arbitration where Activision has to provide evidence to justify each individual firing.

And I think this is actually the game I was looking for. It's exactly what I'm interested in.

Something I wish I had told myself when I first started playing: while being zoomed all the way out is great for boss fights and dungeons, try to consciously zoom way in when playing story content. At lower zooms the game takes a behind the back angle and it fundamentally changed how I experienced the zones I was running through.

The major story beats in shadowbringer and endwalker would not have hit nearly as hard if the game let players leapfrog the story like wow does. Saying there needs to be a way to skip the story is like complaining that Stephen King novels are too long and needs a cliff notes version that summarizes the first 400 pages in a bulleted list so you can enjoy the ending.

14 is an mmo, but it is first and foremost a final fantasy. You're playing it for the story and the MMO aspects are an added bonus to let you stay in the world.

This was one argument I heard. With copyright then there is a centralised accepted "authority" on who owns what.

With this in mind I have three questions...

1) What's to stop me from stealing someone else image and passing it off as my own and selling an NFT of it?

3) What approval process is required to prove you own what you are trying to sell an NFT off?

2) How many NFT "blockchains" are there? What's to stop the same image being sold as an NFT on two different blockchains?

Oh, people are just blatantly stealing deviantART images and selling them as nfts. People have tried to create some tools but it basically runs rampant.

If you're talking about say an NFT of an existing character like Sonic, then yea things get a bit more convoluted with copyright.

Any art. Buying an nft does not transfer copyright. All you're doing is buying a UUID. You don't own any of it. Even if the artist only sells a single nft, they retain the copyright.

Either people fundamentally misunderstand how an nft interacts with actual ownership or they're intentionally obfuscating their knowledge to be a grifter, but at no point does purchasing an nft actually give you ownership of anything associated with that nft other than that UUID, which can only be sold to somebody else but never traded in for anything.

No, because an nft of an image doesn't actually grant you the copyright of that image. You don't actually own the thing.

The analogy I used recently was that it's like those old commercials where you can buy the special limited edition commemorative coin that comes with a certificate of authenticity with a unique number on it. Nfts are if you just bought the certificate and didn't get the coin.
