Just watched the ending again and holy shit, I totally missed this:

Realized Hanzo was ordered to kill Willam by Ieyasu. Even watched the scene again and realized Hanzo unsheathed his dagger a bit before William said he had no desire to be killed. Even missed the part where his guardian spirit said "death approaches". Fucking snakes I swear. The flashback even had Ieyasu imply for Hanzo to murder William lol.

Now I know why my Girlfriend hated Ieyasu in the history books. She called him a manipulative historical figure that did dishonourable things to win.

Damn man.

Just beat the "real" last boss in London.

Also I managed to cop the season pass for all 3 dlcs for 9.99. Perfect timing for it to be on offer!

Difference between Nioh and Nier?

Totally different games in terms of gameplay. They are both action based but Nioh is a souls-like game.

Nioh 2 is just a better game in every facet. Improves a lot from nioh 1.

Can't wait to start it after I do the expansions.

ya, that was super cool. i loved the Ki / Pulse system and the depth that added to the combat.

wasn't a fan of the loot system at all, but i dont like RNG loot systems period.

The Ki system was really good. I also hated the amount of Loot there was, I spent half of my time sorting it and selling/disassembling/offering it. Could have done with less tbh.

I never played the DLC for the first so I've thought about going back for it. For me Nioh 1's difficulty peaked at Hino Enma and Yuki Onna, then it was smooth sailing for the rest of the game. The second Nioh felt way easier in comparison.

Hino Enma was easy one you learnt her patterns, but Yuki Onna was a fucking nightmare even now lol.

Also I seem to remember her being Nobunagas wife. She's probably in the second one as Nohime, seen screenshots of her.

Was initially going to blaze through this game to play the second one. Instead I ended up loving it and doing every quest in the game. I love how the game is based off actual Japanese history with actual figures. I learnt a lot from this game. Was able to pass off a lot of the knowledge I learnt to my girlfriend surrounding Mitsunari Ishida and Ieyasu Tokugawa and we had conversations about fuedal Japan, its politics and what Japanese people actually think about these historical figures, including Nobunaga Oda. Also has a lot of information about the locations in the past.

Even though the story isn't heavy in the game, I think it held a good balance and didn't totally detract my focus off the gameplay. The latter being hard. A lot harder than the Soul series I personally believe.

Also, the FUCKING SOUNDTRACK is amazing. I can't believe I sat on this game for so long, I've made a small playlist of all the songs in this game.

The female characters are really beautiful in this. Its not a bad looking game at all and I really loved the monster designs.

I love the fact that you're an Englishman starting the game in London, then travelling all the way to Japan.

I can't wait to play the expansions and sequel.

I skipped the story tbh, I don't think the game is really for me. I liked a lot about it but trials felt like a chore. I did like crafting and stuff though. I basically finished Heavensward but had a lot more content unlocked since I bought the most current expac at the time.

I've seen people say this and come back down the line to enjoy the game more later on. Maybe taking a break would help.

Just wondering how many people are interested. The developers said to look at it as an Rpg first and Mmo second. They came up with the name Rpgmmo instead of Mmorpg.

I enjoyed everything about the game tbh. Just really wished we got to see more of Midgar or the slums. Akin to Map travel like type-0. That was also on the PSP as well so they had the technology.

Im loving these dark images! Maybe I should shift to dark things as well. I tried to draw a reaper but my lack of knowledge on how to draw the material on its cloth messed it up. I'll try again soon since that was a while ago.

Its pretty cool. Didn't like it at first because I couldn't hear it over all the fighting and chaos. The boss and theme gives off a proper Dracula and Castlevania vibe.

I think its usually towards the unnecessary changes of an existing character. Like there was that controversy in the RE community that Chris never has the same face, with some games making him look ugly as fuck compared to other ones, or no where near recognizable at all.

Edit: Or Dante in Marvel vs Capcon infinite. They really did him dirty in that.

this change is honestly annoying. there was nothing wrong with how she looked before... and it makes 0 sense for her to put on so much weight and become so pale and pasty. why did they do it?

I never thought this was a problem at first until I saw comparisons like these. Geez, why'd they have to do her like that. The model she was based off was really pretty as well from what I remember.

Yeah, Shadowbringers definitely has what I'd call an amazing story. One of the best I've seen in an RPG. You'll never expect it from just playing ARR, or even HW.

Can't say much to Endwalker since I'm only halfway through it, but it's solid I guess. At least around HW's level.

The first part of EW does not hold a candle to the rest of its story. So many huge set pieces afterwards.

Im not 100% sure. Its best to ask a mod before I give you any bad advice.

Yup. Endwalker gave me so many emotions that by the end, I was a wreck. Emotionally and mentally exhausted.
