The mall cop ghost seemed really inspired by Paul Blart or whatever, but it ends up being extremely clever in how his brandishing of sunglasses protects him from the flashlight and the squirt gun he relies on ends up being the one thing that can actually kill Gooigi. Plus as you thrash him around the room, crates of toys like rubber ducks scatter around the floor that you can slip on, lol. There's a puzzle with an overflowing bathroom that I can't figure out, and also outside that door you can see a chest exposed in the ceiling, so I'm wondering if there's an elevation based power I don't have yet that would let me get both of those. The game is, contrary to the pseudo-horror atmosphere, very relaxing. It's fun to just walk around rooms vacuuming absolutely everything and figuring out all the clever little hidden puzzles. They do a great job providing you a moveset that is focused and limited but has tons of potential for thinking outside the box. If I have any complaints, they are that: E Gadd is sometimes way too persistent in messaging you if the devs want you to do something right away, they either go zero handholding or ultra handholding. I wouldn't mind the game leaning into horror just a tad more. So far at least, the game really makes no attempt to actually try to spook the player, even a little. I guess it is technically a kid's game, but even the lighting, while great looking, isn't as conducive to a foreboding atmosphere as the original game was. It's clear they want more of an amusement park experience than a horror one, but as a big horror fan I wouldn't mind some spooks here and there lol, or just some creepier world design. Finally the lack of variety in basic ghost design is a little disappointing. What happened to the orange and pink ghosts? Why they all gotta be one model just wearing different hats? --- |

Data is also part of Riker's poker games.  Actually, Riker is used to introduce Data in the first episode, where the initially skeptical Riker is charmed by his antics and refers to him as Pinocchio.  Gambit is mainly a Data/Worf episode, as Picard and Riker both get kidnapped leading to Data taking command and choosing Worf as his first officer. They have discussions about the role of a first officer and each apologize for jeapordizing their friendship with each other. At the end of the episode, Data goofs hard on Riker by taking him to the brig.  There was also that time Data asked Worf to take care of his cat.  --- |
