| Doe 10/10/21 4:18:50 PM #13 | Metroid Dread is a GOTY 2021 contender Far Cry 6 has been pretty universally received as "mediocre." Even if you're not huge on Metroidvania or Dread in particular, yearly release Ubisoft games have been getting more and more disappointing. The game also leans on out of touch anti-Castro themes, continuing Ubisoft's streak of pretending to be relevant to the times while making no actual meaningful challenge to the world the company inhabits. There's only so many metroidvanias released at all, while you can find everything Far Cry 6 offers (besides, apparently, cockfighting of all things) in any other generic open world game. --- |
