1. Shawl (a type of ghost that "infects" your eyes, constantly darkening your vision until you go blind unless you find a way to exterminate it)
2. Soot Stream Bridge (a seemingly innocent bridge located deep in the heart of Hot Springs National Park, overgrown with vegetation; however, those who come upon it and cross it are known to mysteriously disappear, as it is sentient and hates being walked on without permission)
3. Leatherhook (seen only by a few eyewitnesses after a major thunderstorm in NYC; witnesses reported a strange leather-like tube seemingly stretched outside their windows. Metallic scratching could also be heard, which caused some witnesses' ears to bleed. Only one saw what was on the end of that tube, long enough to get a blurry picture before his apparent death, a bird-like head with what looked like a sharp hook for a tongue)
4. Nailbomb (accidentally discovered by one scientist researching a recently discovered lake; the disturbed purple ball-like creature shot needle-like projectiles into the scientist's stomach, which were more like needles. They were removed with seemingly no further incident, except when a week later the scientist's stomach suddenly burst inside a supermarket, as tiny variations of the creature spread to all corners of the building. While no further incidents involving the creature were reported, locales were advised to stay anywhere from any spherical shapes).
5. The Cavity (a ragged and filthy monster drenched in sludge, with an amorphous shape that allows it to fit it any crevice. One touch to any living flesh has been said to create an instant hole into the body, which the Cavity then proceeds to enter, melting you completely from the inside out)

I mostly love this one. The tone and cast is just a ton of fun, with a true light-hearted adventurous feel. The game's world is just how you would imagine in the aftermath of defeating an ancient eldritch being. Lenne and Shuyin kind of suck but whatever. It's all about the Gullwings vs. LeBlanc.

A wonderful, weird, goofy commentary on American culture seen through the eyes of youth, as well as an emotionally resonant coming-of-age story, as Ness and the gang learn the world outside is a lot more twisted and disgusting than what is apparent on the surface, as Lovecraft meets innocent suburbia way before the cast of Stranger Things pedaled onto the scene.

There are some cool boss characters. I like Elisa especially. I feel like she was a cool character wasted in this snooze of a storyline, with bare minimum production values because it was on PSP. The twists are so weak and anything to with established characters feels like character assassination at its worst, I especially hate what they did with Grey Fox. A rather inessential and pointless point in the MG arc, and mostly ignored for good reason.

I'd say 12 Minutes is worth a shot cause it's actually pretty short. The Medium is just too slow-paced to be enjoyable for me, like why do the character speeds have to be so slow? Geez it's annoying. But it does have amazing atmosphere, gorgeous fixed camera, a decent story, and top-tier soundtrack done by Akira Yamaoka & Arkadiusz Reikowski.

1. During an eBay transaction, I had given up on an item being lost after about 2 months. I had given the customer their money back a long while ago, but eventually it did end up being delivered, and without any prompting or obligation they were kind enough to send me a check for the item.
2. Once in high school I didn't have money to get on a bus home, and initially the driver told me to get off as they are well right to, but then she told me to get back in and said it's alright anyway. Little stuff like this I always remember the most.
3. Similarly, there was this other time much later on where I was on a bus, meant to get a transfer, but the old driver was just getting off so she told me to wait and tell the next one. For whatever reason the next one didn't want to give it to me, but literally the whole bus came to my defense and eventually the bus driver had no choice but to relent. Like some sort of movie scene, I swear.
4. I was out in front of my building with my family doing a garage sale when the landlord came around, I thought he was gonna tell us to pack it in (we had no permit or anything) but instead he gave us this antique thing he had lying around to try and sell. I don't even remember what it was but we did sell it for like 50 bucks. That was extremely unexpected!
5. One of my good neighbors always dropping by with food and other supplies too when he has extra.

This is peak Uncharted for me. I love the flashback scene that helps better establish a character for Drake beyond mere action hero. The villains are incredible, and for the first time don't feel like mere caricatures of people. It also leans far less into supernatural territory which I think works for its great benefit here. Drake's trek through the desert was one of the most memorable moments for me, both in terms of engrossing, immersive gameplay and as a character trial for Drake. Plus, the supporting cast is at their best, and delivers on a fantastic ending for the core trio (4 is a great game too, but I think the wrap-up was better here).

About 10 years ago, during the summer, I went to the CN Tower & Casa Loma in York and then to the Toronto Zoo. I had a good time as far cities go, since I'm usually not that fond of cities to begin with!

Hmmm at the very least I should try to finish up Black Lightning. That's not too big a commitment. And LoT's always reliable I suppose. I actually watched the Batwoman S2 premiere and really didn't like it. And I never cared about the Supergirl side of things past like mid-season 2.

I guess my biggest concern here was Flash... if it's the same ol' Flash, it's probably best I just skip it.

I used to love these shows but after the last seasons of Flash and LoT ended I didn't really have the desire to go and watch the new seasons, since (especially Flash, maybe not so much LoT) I had read and seen some clips that led me to believe it had just gotten beyond awful. I also just think it kind of sucks that two of the best LoT characters are leaving. With another crossover event coming up I was thinking of catching up maybe, but is it worth it? Anyone here still watch them?

I hated Deadly Premonition even with the great Twin Peaks influences. I haven't played the Director's Cut or Switch version, but in the original, everything is beyond clunky, especially the driving, oh my god the driving. Even besides the controls, I thought most of the enemy encounters were bland and uninspired, which is where the game's budget really shines through the most I think. It is a great story, but is it worth suffering through the game? I honestly don't think so personally.

1. Alice in Chains - Dirt (An all-time favorite. Dark, heavy, wrought with emotion and pain, but also filled with killer riffs to make you try and forget it all)
2. Nirvana - Nevermind (Another all-time favorite. These songs never get old no matter how many times I play them. It's as rough and harsh as mainstream possibly gets.)
3. Radiohead - OK Computer (See: The Wall, but even better and more ambitious)
4. Wu-Tang Clan - Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) (One of the best hip-hop albums of all time, the Clan's flows are endlessly infectious and I love the martial art movie samples)
5. Pink Floyd - The Wall (Slick and accessible prog. rock that doesn't loose any meaning or soul in the process)
6. Mastodon - Crack the Skye (One of the best sludge/prog metal albums of all time)
7. Fleetwood Mac - Rumours (Not a single bad song on this bad boy. 11 slices of perfect pop & rock bliss)
8. Meat Loaf - Bat Out of Hell (Operatic rock at its finest, with the occasional slow skipper)
9. Massive Attack - Mezzanine (Near unmatched sense of darkness, dread, and anxiety in music form, but also strangely relaxing at the same time)
10. The Beatles - Abbey Road (Some of the Beatles best songs are on here, but also the medley is hit or miss)
11. LCD Soundsystem - Sound of Silver (One of the best surprises of this series, pulsating and intelligent)
12. Air - Moon Safari (Amazingly chill and nostalgic vibes, I'll be putting this one on more in the future)
13. Kanye West - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (I don't really like Kanye as a person but I gotta give respect to this album where it's due, everything from the production to the samples are fantastic)
14. Fiona Apple - Fetch the Bolt Cutters (Clever and catchy songwriting, just an unabashedly weird, timely, and ambitious piece of pop music, it's great)
15. Kendrick Lamar - good kid, m.A.A.d. city (Always liked this one quite a bit, fantastic lyricism and flows)
16. Weezer - Weezer (The Blue Album) (Surfy, punky, self-reflective, not the best but certainly solid)
17. U2 - Achtung Baby (Good if sometimes nondescript alt. rock, but its high points are genuinely amazing)
18. Lin-Manuel Miranda - Hamilton (Its high points are immaculate but there's a lot of filler that don't work as stand-alone listens for me)
19. The Strokes - Is This It (Repetitive but in a way that kinda works in the right mood? And I do quite enjoy the singles too.)
20. Janelle Monae - The ArchAndroid (Cool genre experimentation and great singles, but its cinematic ambitions miss the mark for me)
21. The Killers - Hot Fuss (Proof The Killers work better off their singles)
22. Gorillaz - Demon Days (Not a favorite but I appreciate its eclectic taste of genre and sounds)
23. Ben Folds Five - Ben Folds Five (Slightly corny but also quite catchy, heartfelt and humorous in parts, with great if repetitive instrumentation)
24. Pixies - Doolittle (I should like this more but it's a muddled sound of noise and indie rock for me, but Debaser rules)
25. Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix (Repetitive and the definition of spinning your wheels musically, with only 2, admittedly amazing, highlights)

Fantastic characters and dialogue, and a classic story of the dead-end job meets grand conspiracy, fitting right next to other seminal 90s works like The Matrix and Fight Club. Its invoking of an old Hollywood aesthetic gives the whole game a nostalgic and innocent tint that provides breezy and well-paced escapism, but combined with the Day of the Dead imagery, also gives the game a darker undertone that forces the player to reckon with their own mortality and life choices.
