Both Whis' statement and when the Supreme Kai claims Jiren's the strongest fighter he's ever sensed considering he was around for Vegito vs Zamasu. Jiren > Vegito is a scary thought.

On that note, consider the fact that fusion was allowed during the ToP. Kale and Caulifla fused, after all. So Goku and Vegeta could have used the Potara earrings, if they wanted to. But evidently they knew (or assumed) that even fusion would not be enough to bridge the gap between them and Jiren, and better to stay split and work together, than potentially get eliminated as Vegito and cost Universe 7 its top two warriors at once.

That's pretty nuts.

Generally, yes.
Here's the problem: all the myriad people with their own views, their own ideologies, their unique and idiosyncratic perspective on various issues -- they typically vote either Democrat or Republican, two political machines that reliably operate in a predictable manner, so much so that the countless individuals who voted become a nameless mass backing the elephant or the donkey. And the apparent priorities and views of the party ergo become the perceived priorities and views of those who voted.

Personally, I voted for "SS3 -> SSG." I was torn between that and the final two options. Here is my reasoning:

SS3 -> SSG: As SS3, Goku could do absolutely nothing to harm, injure or even remotely concern Beerus. He was as insignificant as a fly. Beerus literally flicked him away like a pest, a nuisance. Once Goku reached Super Saiyan God, he actually put up a fight against Beerus. Granted, Beerus wasn't going 100%, but the fact that a God of Destruction went from complete lack of concern to "now I have to try hard" is a gargantuan power jump for Goku.

SSB -> Ultra Instinct Omen: This is another massive power leap, but there is an important distinction here: while SSB Goku was no match for Jiren, Jiren still at least had to put in some minimal effort to fend Goku off. Jiren was not able to just rofflecopter SSB Goku like Beerus did SSJ3; then again, perhaps it's not fair to compare these since Beerus didn't rofflecopter SSB, so perhaps my point is moot. Still, Ultra Instinct Omen allowed Goku to bridge the gap, which is very impressive, but it's not as massive a gap, IMO, as Goku being next-to-nothing versus Beerus and then being able to go toe to toe with him.

Ultra Instinct Omen -> MUI: By the time Goku reached Ultra Instinct Omen for the third time, Jiren was having a very hard time putting him away. It was fairly even. Once Goku reached MUI, of course, he was on a whole 'nother level, but it's not that surprising considering how much trouble Jiren was having already.

We talking pure numbers or do you mean percentage-based power gain?

If the former, then the people voting for Base ==> Super Saiyan are probably wrong.

Well, I suppose those two modalities are interconnected. The greater raw number yields a higher proportional percentage power increase.

In other words, what two transformations have the greatest gap between them? Key: SSJ = Super Saiyan. SSG = Super Saiyan God. SSB = Super Saiyan Blue.

Here is a potential concern:

Consider the people who never got sick from COVID, and were (or are) opposed to vaccinations, or possibly even regard the whole thing as being blown out of proportion. As more and more people get vaccinated, isn't it likely that the holdouts will figure "well, they're getting all those vaccinations they wanted, and I didn't get sick the entire time, so there's really no point now."

Beavis upon making himself dizzy and watching the music video for Korn's "Blind"...

I think there's a problem with this video, as it is highly derivative of many popular bands within the genre, although when viewed on its own merit, it does have a decent groove. However, what it has in groove, it lacks in originality. One can't help but be reminded of such bands as Pearl Jam, White Zombie, Suicidal Tendencies, and other bands that bear the mantle of so-called alternative rock. One is even reminded of Laurie Anderson when she wore curlers. This video speaks less to the heart, and more to the sphincter. In closing, I think Korn would do well to learn more from...

Recently I began reading Intruders by Budd Hopkins, an in-depth investigation of various abduction cases that was published in 1987. At a few points throughout the book, while reading a patient's description of their hypnosis-induced recollections, I experienced an overwhelming jolt of dread, as if I was about to unearth a buried, repressed memory.

The Fox Mulder part of me wants to believe that I had been abducted as a child; but the skeptical, rational part of me assumes it's simply bringing childhood fears back to the surface -- that youthful, innocent fear that comes from watching alien abduction cases on Unsolved Mysteries, or seeing aliens in movies, etc.

Either way, it brought something to the surface and it kinda freaked me out

UFOlogy is rather fascinating. I personally believe there is intelligent life elsewhere in the cosmos, but I am not convinced our planet has ever been visited by extraterrestrial beings or technology. But it does make you wonder, why are people so adamant that that is actually what happens?

Is it somehow more palatable to believe that our government covered up a UFO crash and reverse-engineered alien technology to develop the remarkable aircraft we see nowadays, as opposed to the more banal -- and yet perhaps more disquieting -- notion that this advanced tech is entirely anthropogenic in origin? Is it more frightening to think that our top-secret R&D units are capable of developing these crafts completely on our own?

Not exactly. Proof beyond a reasonable doubt =/= unequivocal proof. Many innocent people are convicted because the evidence against them was strong enough to make it unreasonable to presume their innocence. This is unfortunate.

It really is funny how those people seem to think that life in prison is somehow a fair punishment for a person like this. As if being imprisoned is like some mystical limbo where you're life just stops having any purpose or meaning.

Food, shelter, access to books and technology, etc. It's still life, just a harsher type you'll have to adjust to. But people do adjust, hence the term "institutionalized."

Life in prison is too good for these monsters. Look at someone like Charles Manson, who literally said it didn't matter to him that he was in prison, because he had the entire universe inside his mind, in the cell with him. He was free. He truly felt he was free, he said this.

Life in prison is still life
