What's crazy is that evolution has determined that two eyes is most beneficial amongst vertebrae. Not sure why, since some arthropods have multiple eyes and it suits them fine.

Probably has something to do with binocular vision, being able to visually coordinate an object's position from us in three-dimensional space.

Halloween (2018).
Don't get me wrong, it's a good movie and one of the better sequels in the franchise.

But it has the best soundtrack of any Halloween film, even including the original.

some hellish nightmare alien water planet

Ever think that's exactly how another species would react to our planet if they visited here? The same way we would react if we saw some bizarre life form on another planet. Earth is an alien planet. We are aliens. We just don't think about it that way because we're the ones who live here.

Many people who believe that they have been abducted by extraterrestials have the sensation that they missed two hours of their lives while the abduction took place, but they have no memory of the past two hours

To elaborate on this, it is not experienced as a break in time followed by a resumption. Time is experienced as being continuous. Imagine, for instance, that you walked to a nearby convenience store that's only 10 minutes from your house, and by the time you got back home, an hour and a half had elapsed. And you would have no way of explaining that lost time, since it just felt like a 25-30~ minute round-trip for you.

In Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble for the SNES, Wrinkly Kong is playing Super Mario 64 on her Nintendo 64 console. We can deduce this because of the music. It's clearly supposed to be the music from inside Princess Peach's castle. Give it a listen...

In other words, the largest, the most spacious, the one that feels like a much bigger map than other levels.

Personally, I voted for Shifting Sand Land. The outside area is fairly large as it is, then once you enter the pyramid that's like an entirely separate level on its own.

Probably the only good thing about being morbidly obese is that my legs were strong enough to do that just from carrying around all that extra weight day to day <_< I don't know if I could still do it at this point though.

IIRC you were fairly thin at one point, right? Either way, you're looking pretty impressive. Keep up the good work.

Yeah, I've always been decently strong for my size, but I was never very big. Been trying to bulk up a bit. When I started going to this gym in 2012 I was 150, now I'm 205. Thanks for your kind words!

It's so daunting once you get in position and just have a wall of weights staring back at you...

If you notice the little weights sitting on each stack, that's because the machine can literally only hold eleven 45-lb plates per side (i.e., 990 lbs) so I had to balance a five pounder on each side to make it an even thousand.

I'm 6'0" 205 lbs if you're curious for any reason...

Ken and James were equally good in the GOAT tournament, Ken was just lucky getting Daily Doubles and betting all his money.

If Daily Doubles were removed from Jeopardy, James would win just about any game against anyone who was ever on the show

He did have a higher percentage of correct responses compared to Ken, IIRC.
Then again, Ken also played more than twice the number of games, so James didn't have as much time for his percentage to dip a bit. Who knows.
