I mean yes, we could build buildings to fit 44 people per acre (what it would be if the global population lives in a city the size of Texas) but we couldn't "give everyone an acre" like it says. In fact according to Google the CONTINENTAL US only has 2.43 billion acres of land which means everyone person would get about a 1/3 of an acre over the continental US. That means we obviously can't give everyone an acre in Texas, or Alaska, or any state because our country doesn't have enough land to give.

And don't even get me started on how "nicely" they would live.

I think the numbers I used were Alaska is 656424 square miles. There's 640 acres per square mile. Although I looked again and I am probably under on my number of square miles in Alaska the result is still that there's no where near enough room. I came up with 420 million acres which is a rounded down amount.

That was one of the things I brought up is they are saying you should live like NYC, but farther down says you should have an acre. Just one person per household would be 43 people per acre of land at NYC density levels.

My math may be wrong though.

i didn't take into account multiple people living in the same household. I also didn't take into account what percentage of land in Alaska (or Texas, or Oklahoma) is actually useable and people could live on it. There's mountains and deserts in some of these states and people can't live in those.

I couldn't really give a good overview in my topic title of what i'm actually asking.

I don't stream. I've never streamed. I barely even watch streamers.

I'm working on an idea for an ARG/Livestream that would be about a week long and requires me to be in a car for most of it. I'm asking questions here for tech savy people or maybe people who do streaming and can answer my questions.

So here's some basic questions:

1) I'll need to find a way to easily switch between two cameras if that's even possible. One would be my phone camera, either mounted of handheld, the other would be a dashcam. I'd like the ability to switch between cameras with a button press. Worst case I could just use my phone mounted as a dash cam and just hit the button for front facing camera if I want to switch it. Can you stream from a dash cam? Can you stream with multiple cameras and set them up so a button press on a compute or something swaps them?

2) How can I give myself the best access to internet in random spots, including being "in nature" where there is no wifi? Can I give my car "wifi" somehow? How does it upload and download to the internet? A little receiver somewhere in the car that hooks up by satellite? I may have to do a mix of livestreams and regular videos if I can't have 100 percent uptime internet.

3) Music is going to be a problem. I'll be driving for a lot of this video series. I know playing music while livestreaming is "more okay" than having music play on pre-recorded or playback videos. I saw Twitch has a software that separates live music that's playing in your stream so you can just shut it off that way for playbacks. I'm assuming that needs constant internet access which is part of my problem with issue 2.

I've got roughly a year to bring this all together. Basically I think I'm going to need a mobile "command center".

My basic idea is livestreaming a road trip with viewer interaction where they guide me to my destination by voting on which direction I turn at several pre-determined intersections across the USA. I had a topic that had a post or two about it the other day just trying to gauge overall interest in this idea.

I live in PA and have a building with two apartments and I live in one. I bought an AC unit for the renters and everyone is like "Why are you wasting your money, you aren't required to provide AC." Which is true apparently. But I would still feel like an asshole.

I don't have a problem with providing an AC unit for the apartment. It is mine and stays with the apartment.

Our mask mandate lifts in my state on Sunday or Monday, I'm not sure which. I don't like those "it stops at midnight!" because I don't know which day it actually is then. But i'm dumb.

For God sake don't go to the Summit County/Vail/Denver part of the Rockies. Everyone goes there and it is objectively the most boring part, and crowded af. And it's like 1% of the Rockies

Glacier natl park MT, San Juan Mtns CO, Wind River mountains WY are the best in the US

But the Cascades in WA are actually a lot more impressive than the Rockies

Yeah I haven't ironed out exact places yet. Although in Colorado I do want to see the Garden of the Gods. Honestly I just want to see new things. I've been in PA all my life but have driven up to Canada and down to Florida before. The Appalachian Mountains are pretty, but I want to see something different.

I don't know if it's ADD/ADHD or maybe it's normal and I feel like it's weird, but all the time I'm bombarded with random thoughts. Sometimes they are things like an invention, or a youtube video series idea, etc.

I have 3 weeks vacation I have to use and I just want to go out and drive west for a while just to see different things. I currently live in PA. My first idea was I wanted to see the Rocky Mountains.

One idea I have is an interactive road trip, probably done on Facebook or Youtube (with a video series). I leave home and start driving west. Every 50/75/100 miles I will let people vote on which direction I go. At the end of a 4 or 5 days I will just see where I end up before heading back home. Along the way i'll stop at cool locations or pretty parks etc. So my vacation is where everyone votes my vacation is. I'm in places trying to make the best of it based on where people sent me. I'll have to plan out ahead of time where I will let these votes happen. Take a road atlas or something and plan out the exact spots. Maybe make a forking chart type of thing that shows where I will end up with every direction change.

I dunno. It sounds like it could be dumb but maybe it's kind of cool.

I have been on two different ones and stopped taking both of them after talking to my doctor.

The last one, Effexor, was a living hell trying to go off of it. Even tapering. I have never felt like shit so badly and had my moods fluctuate so wildly than the few weeks I had of stopping that. I would go from crying to laughing within a few minutes for no reason.
