It's basically Nioh in the Final Fantasy Universe. Instead of ninjas and archers you're fighting Goblins, Cactuars, Bombs, etc. It sneaks in a job system, it sneaks in blue magic (kind of), it sneaks in a lot of cool stuff. I could see this game being a huge hit if they make it that the levels you run through are actually parts of various Final Fantasy games. For example: One level is maybe Mt Ordeals from FF4 and at the end you fight the Earth Fiend. Or there's a FF6 level of you fighting through the Doom Train. If they try to make this kind of "hey we just turned your old favorite parts of FF games into a Nioh type game" I am sold. If they try to do it as "hey we wrote this whole new story and made all new areas etc." aside from the cool factor of fighting Cactuars in a hack/slash type game I'm not sure how much I will care. The three person party thing seems to be a pain in the ass. I'm not exactly sure why it's in there besides trying to make it feel more like a "traditional" FF game. The graphics are kind of bad. The dialogue is bad. The UI isn't great. The menus are clunky as hell. But it's a demo. I'm not sure how it is in every state but a lot of the pools are owned by the state here and a lifeguard is kind of a state employee (although not REALLY). Man some people are irrational upset by this. They are upset at the idea that no one wants to take a job where you have to first pay for training courses (first aid, etc.) and then get paid $11 an hour. I see a lot of:
The idea that GAS STATIONS are paying 15 dollar an hour to start in the area here means no one really wants to lifeguard job for a lot less pay. They can't seem to pick up on the fact that the places that are most "hurting for employees" are the ones paying shit pay like the Dollar Store (like 8.50 an hour) or waiting tables (2.83 an hour, not counting tips). I just do not get people.
