The Combat Upgrade was the second worst thing to ever happen to SWG. The worst was the major patch implemented right afterwards that completely killed the game.

Only that the way you're viewing which side is more "emotional" is wrong. Supporting the death penalty only requires apathy, or the absence of emotion.

I've heard the pc port is done super well, optimized well and runs buttery smooth at 120fps and is the definitive version of the game.

You heard wrong.

It's a 60fps cap at 1080p and 30fps in 4K. Frequent hitching. The game is buggy as fuck and the save system is broken. I've had to completely restart the game twice now due to progression and inventory bugs.
It's like they ported the release version and forgot to include all the fixes they've made on PS4 since then.

Certainly runs better than it did on PS4 but that's not saying much.

I have GamePass for PC and I basically just use it like a demo service. I'll download a game, try it out, then buy it on Steam or wherever.

The download speeds are ridiculously slow and most games don't seem to run as well for some reason. Also, not being able to use a Dualshock is a huge drawback.
