AMD has kept their foot on the gas and hopefully they continue to do and keep advancing their chips. I do hope Intel catches back up, as competition is good for us. For now though and likely through all of next year, the best choice is easily AMD. --- |

Personally I would go for an Intel if I was building one. Why Intel? AMD cpus with the Ryzen 5xxx series beat Intel pretty much across the board. Intel lazed about for years sitting on their laurels and shitting out the same cpus, while AMD was hard at work trying to get competitive. Now, Intel is way behind when it comes to non gaming stuff and even in gaming, which was Intel's last little bastion of hope AMD has caught up and beats them in most games. Intel's next chip line doesn't even look promising. --- |

The lack of any cards in the more affordable range from the new gpu lines has been disheartening. Cheapest new card is the 3070 at $500, but good luck finding one at that price. 3060 is supposed to be $400 or less. --- |
