She was a firm believer in David Icke's reptilian theories, watched Teal Swan religiously, was totally into manifesting and raw diets, and believed that movies like The Matrix were 100% real depictions of what the world is like (imagine her excitement when we went to see "Jupiter Ascending" when it came out). Our time together still honestly feels like a dream for so many reasons. I haven't spoken to her in many years but I just caught a glimpse of a Wikipedia article about a Greek mythology figure of the same name. Apparently in Greek legend, this woman was a priestess of Apollo who is cursed to utter true prophecy but no one will ever believe her. I see shit like that and I think, "What if ... she isn't crazy". It's weird feeling like that. Amanda was skittish and scared all the time and she'd just go to my dad's bed and sleep under the covers all day. I felt really bad about it tbh, I don't know why she did that (I was only there on the weekend and she only started to come out in the few hours before I had to go back to my mom's house). Anyway, she'd let you pet her and stuff for a few minutes then she'd just stick your hand hard with her claws with zero warning. Idk I just wish she were more comfortable in life :( Some cats are just like that I guess but it's really not that common. I imagine it's going to be like... a lot of the shit they need to get set up gets sent over first.
